Vastly superior to any Hammerite, Jenolite products
This is the best rust convertor in my opinion. Forget about Hammerites Kurust and Jenolite rust convertor etc they aren't designed for the underside of a vehicle. I know I've used them. If you are going to go to the effort of getting under your car and spending time (hrs in my case) wire brushing flaky scaled corrosion on sub frames and wheel arches then for godsakes buy a quality product. Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 is the way to go. It is formulated specifically for the underside of vehicles and boats, yes boats so you can imagine this product has to be good and it is. I used it on my 20 year old Corolla, two coats (let dry 24hrs) before applying Bilt Hamber UB wax again two coats. I know this protection will last a few years easily, unlike Hammerite underseal/waxoyl which lasted 6 months I found. I really don't want to be under my car again anytime soon it is a labour intensive uncomfortable job treating corrosion.

Works but leaves hard residue.
Does what it is supposed to do. You only need a tiny amount as it does leave a hard residue that you then need to pick off.

Great product
Really easy to apply by brush. Once the loose rust was brushed away this stabilized the rust affected area. Brush also cleans in soapy warm water easily which I was surprised at.

Applied to the rust on the under side of my Rover cleared it completely and then sprayed over with their wax product, perfect looks like new - no mess no need to clean off following application and then seal coat
