works great!
Works just as advertised. The connector straps are high quality and show no signs of wear after several months of use.

Doesn’t fit the Apple Pencil so it cannot connect

Works as supposed to
But nice to not lose the top Over that comes with the 1st gen pencil this is for. Very convenient and should be something the OEM included but doesn’t!

Works great for charging my gen 1 pencil
I picked this up to free up the lightning port on my 2017 iPad Pro when my Pencil needs a charge (which is often, during long drawing sessions). Charging the Pencil on the bottom of the iPad has always given me some anxiety that it might get bumped and break, and I am often having to remove my iPad's charger cable to free the port too which can become really annoying when my battery is already low. I have a lot of fast USB-C chargers available around my home, so this was a great solution for me. Finally I can charge my pencil and iPad at the same time. This solution may not look very graceful, but neither does the default method of sticking the pencil into the bottom of my iPad. I'd argue this is better visually and a lot less stressful too. My only complaint is that the lightning port on these adapters for the pencil to go into is very shallow, so just the end of it fits inside. It might feel more secure if there was a deeper port to keep the metal connector on the pencil from wiggling in there, as it is possible for the pencil to move from side to side slightly when seated inside the adapter. See in my photo - a lot of the metal is exposed. It doesn't fall out or feel super loose or anything, but it doesn't seem as secure as I might like. I appreciate that these come in a two-pack so I can attach them to a couple of different USB-C chargers throughout my apartment without having to move cords or adapters around. I can just keep these where I like drawing the most and I'm all set. For anyone curious, you cannot charge your pencil on a cord and draw/write with it at the same time - so yes, you do still have to wait for it to finish charging before you can use it again. Not fully related to the product itself, but maybe it will satisfy someone's curiosity :) Fortunately, the pencil charges just as quickly plugged into a USB-C charger as it does when plugged into the iPad's lightning port - so roughly 30 minutes to reach a full charge.

Wasn't sure what this was supposed to do
The product description was not clear enough. I thought this was an alternate way to charge my Apple Pencil magnetically, but it is NOT. It is only for charging the 1st gen Apple Pencil with Lightning connector. My mistake but the description was not clear, it was only after I went and looked at all the pictures where it fits. Nothing I can use.

Love it!
I like how it has the dongle so you never lose it, just make sure your Apple Pencil is paired with the device before you purchase this!

Not recommended - poor design and quality
If you depend on a charged Apple Pencil, look elsewhere. I got it to charge the Pencil once, but generally it just doesn't work. If you get this you'll need to double-check in your iPad settings that the Pencil is actually successfully charging, which makes this more of a hassle than the cost savings are worth; I want my charger to just work! Most of the time when I plugged it, in the Pencil would just disconnect from the iPad and wouldn't reconnect and show charging status like it does with the official Apple lightning charge adapter. And this thing has really poor build quality - the USB C connector is angled so it tilts up at an odd angle when plugged in (see photo), and the lighting connector is horrible too - it's too wide so the pencil can be plugged in at an angle and can rotate side-to-side (see photo) and it doesn't "snap" into place like a real lightning connector.
