I bought this a month ago(17june), I have just used it for the first time today (1august). It cut great the first 2 cuts then nothing at all????

What were you trying to cut & what happened? I found that the supplied blade wasn't great, but they're easy to pick up & there are plenty of specialist ones available too. Just buy 8"/200mm

Does this come with a UK plug?

Yes it does. The one I purchased had a uk plug

Do you cut the tile face down

If I remember well it is best for the blade to cut into the face of the tile rather than into the backing. The exit of the blade can leave small chips on the exit surface which is ok for the mounting surface but not very tidy if on the tile face. I suggest trying on a spare tile first you will then see which way is best.

Great for tiles. Now it's redundant, do you think I could put a wood saw blade on it and use as a table saw?

its reccomended use as a tile cutter and is not reccomended for any other use
