Yes, they are! Manic panic prides itself on being vegan. Their slogan is "we test on celebrities, not animals."

Has anyone tried this turquoise color on dark brown hair? Thanks.

The turquoise is the most vibrant of the colors and it lasts the longest by far. You do not need to lighten darker hair but it will only tint over whatever color you have so if you want a bright turquoise result you'll need to lighten. I have ginger hair and I lighten my tips only and ombré the turquoise in. It's pretty easy to do. Just search you tube for bleach ombré tutorials.

How much does this product bleed? I used Punky Color and the color came out very nice, but a month later, I still get purple on my neck and ears.

Not at all, as long as you rinse well. I've been using Manic Panic for a decade and Ive never had a problem as long as I rinse well and allow my hair to dry. I also use a bit of conditioner after I rinse.

Is this permanent dye? How long does the color last, roughly?

It depends on your hair type, and how you treat your hair. For me, my colours last until I want to change them (roughly 3-6 months). If you blow dry your hair, or use styling products, or are in the sun frequently, the colour will last a shorter amount of time. If you want to extend the colour, wash in cold water (yeah, I know. eek!), avoid previously mentioned things, and add a little colour to your conditioner. If you need to get the colour out, you can wash in very warm water with a clarifying shampoo, a mixture of dawn soap and baking soda, or use a soap cap. (This involves a little bleach, so only do this if you really need to get it out.)

The only pink hair dye worth using. Actually is glorious under UV lights.

I have light brown hair and I have to use a lightener first. I was terrified about my hair falling out with the manic panic 40 volume flash lightening but my hair is like silk.

Disappointed with my purchase

This brand is normally great. I have no idea what's wrong with their pink. It didn't catch at all. When rinsed out, the water wasn't even coloured slightly and I used a whole tub on my hair. The pink one is not what I'd expect from this company. I'm thinking you need the platinum blond base to even show anything.

Waste of time and money.

Literally soaked every strand, took me two hours, used two pots, and it took half my hair and not the other half. Just looks stupid now and will have to wash it multiple times to try and get it out of the points it weirdly stuck to.

Hardly dyed my blonde hair

I used a whole pot on half a head of chin length hair left on for instructed amount of time and had no actual colour change once washed off after the allotted development time. Good job I still had some Schwarzkopf.

El producto no funciona. Es demasiado débil el pigmento… y no se adhiere a cabello decolorado. Si pudiera darle cero estrellas, lo haría. Muy decepcionada. Ni un ápice de color.

Schlechter als die Discounter Produkte

Habe die Haare davor sehr hell blondiert und mit viel silbershampoo ausgewaschen. Gewartet bis sie trocken sind und laut Anleitung auf dem Becher den Inhalt von 3 Bechern in meine schulterlangen Haare eingearbeitet und mit einer Plastikhaube auf dem Kopf einwirken lassen. Resultat war ein Fleckenteppich auf meinem Kopf. Manche Stellen waren wunderbar pink andere kaum andere wiederrum fast zu dunkel... Nach 2 Mal duschen sind die Spitzen nun auch wieder blond. In diesem Moment für mich entschieden doch lieber die Packungen im DM zu kaufen... Da brauch ich maximal 2 und habe eine schöne, gleichmäßige Farbe die auch einen Monat hält bei alle 1-2 Tage duschen.
