Ember Sliding Lid, Splash-Proof Mug Lid Compatible with First and Second Generation Ember Mugs, 14 oz

Why didn't I get this sooner? Perfect fit and seal. On my 14oz Ember, which used to keep coffee warm for about 60-70 min, it now keeps it warm for 2+ hours! As long as the sliding piece is in the closed position, keeps all liquids in even in a bumpy truck cup holder. Yes, it still gets a little outside, but thanks to the lids design, what little that does escape stays inside the lid. Great deal and the perfect add on one to a great coffee mug!

I bought this lid to use with my 14 oz metallic Ember Mug2. The quality of the lid is good. It fits my mug really well. The silicon o-ring makes the fit nice and snug. And it’s easy to clean. I find it keeps my coffee hotter throughout the mug, instead of the coffee just being hotter at the bottom of the cup more than the top. And it also preserves a little battery life. All that being said, I would call the lid more splash-proof than spill-proof. When my mug tips over, liquid leaks from the closed sippy slider on top of the lid. It leaks out slowly, but when it’s coffee spilling into and the cup holders in the center console of your car, any amount is problematic. Also, if my mug dropped onto a hard surface, I’m pretty sure the lid would pop off. So yeah, not spill-proof, but definitely splash-proof because the lid fits nice and snug. Overall, though, this is a very useful accessory for an Ember mug, and I’m glad I decided to buy it.

I love my Ember mug, but I always felt like the heat escaped too quickly from the top. This sliding lid is the perfect fix. It fits both my 10 oz Gen 1 and Gen 2 mugs perfectly. Pros: Better Battery Life: Since the lid keeps the heat in, the mug's heating element doesn't have to work nearly as hard. I’ve noticed my battery lasts about 20-30% longer now. Splash-Proof: It’s great for walking around the house or office. It won't survive being turned upside down, but it stops the "slosh" perfectly. Easy to Clean: The slider pops off easily so you can clean underneath it—no hidden mold issues. Cons: It’s a bit pricey for a lid, but for the convenience, it’s worth it.

I wish the lid fit just a bit tighter than it does. Adding a lid to your ember makes all the difference in the world on battery life. If you are like me and use creamers, it also prevents the cream from turning into the floating film that is caused from the constant heating. They really should just include this with the purchase of the ember mug to begin with. The price is a bit high for just a cheap plastic lid, but it is necessary to enhance the Ember experience.

This lid for my Ember’s cup keeps the coffee hot longer so the cup stays charged up longer. Easy to use, light weight and perfect fit for the cup.

Honestly thought my day was over when my coffee fell over in the car and was laying on the floor. This lid stayed on and my coffee did not spill. 🙌 it’s a miracle

Buy it here vs their website. You will get a much better price for the same thing. It helps my battery last longer since it keeps the heat of my drink not escape. Works great.

Ember Sliding Lid - fits nicely on my ember mug and helps to keep my drink warm. It also prevents a skin from forming on my drink. It does add height to the rim of the mug so takes a bit of getting used too but I now use it all the time.

I’m so happy with this product! Fits my 14 oz Ember mug perfectly! I like to sip my coffee slowly and the lid has extended the battery time when off the charging coaster! Comes with 3 different colored sliders. (Red,black,white) Very good quality product.
