SIRUI TY-C10 Quick Release Plate

If you have a small camera like a panasonic point and shoot,most quick release plates block the battery door. Not any more this plate is small enough to be well clear, good quality very well built a must have.

I'm always losing tripod plates so it's fantastic to have a spare.

A quick release catch plate that is easy to use.

This is about the most overpriced plate on the market. I had to have it as the one which came with the tripod had no protective rubber and would have eventually scratched the camera being metal to metal. What Sirui designers were thinking one cannot imagine. I am happy now that I do not have to worry over damaging the camera - but it added over £30 to the original cost - not cheap as it was the CF model.

This item is quite nicely made but is far too expensive as other reviewers have reported. If you have a second camera and require another mounting plate check out any PU-50 or PU-60. They will fit your tripod head. The differences are that the Sirui has the grooves on the short side whereas the PU-50 and PU-60 have them on the long side. Just check the measurements on Amazon and don't pay over the top prices. My PU-50 plate was £5.02.

I bought this Quick Release Plate to replace the one that I lost(which came with the tripod that I bought). For me, the price is too expensive for just the quick release as it so small and nothing to complex about the design. i decided to bought it as I don't have any choice. I hope that the price could be more reasonable and not taking advantage on a person like me who don't have any other choice.

Far too expensive for what it is. An appreciable proportion of the cost of the whole tripod that has one with it anyway. I guess it's a captive market if you've bought the tripod and happen to have two camera bodies. There may well be other alternatives but I couldn't be sure that they would fit.

Nachdem ich seit Jahren einen Sirui Kopf an meinem Carbon-Stativ besitze und dort normal einstellige Kameramodelle der Canon EOS Reihe samt z.b. 70-200 2.8L o.ä. Objektive befestigt habe wollte ich dieses Setup weiterhin mit meiner Canon EOS M50 nutzen ohne dass die Schnellwechselplatte die doppelte Größe der Kamera aufweist :-) Die kleine Wechselplatte passt hervorragend, ist super stabil und hält alles aus was man an die kleine EOS dran klemmt (vernünftiger Kugelkopf vorausgesetzt natürlich). Das ACRA ist ein tolles System welches einem zu jeder Zeit Sicherheit für sein teures Kameraequipment vermittelt und die kleine Schnellwechselplatte von SIRUI macht hier keine Ausnahme!

Fit perfectly and cam with a wrench to install..
