🧟♀️ Survive the Undead: Are You Ready to Face Your Fears?
ZombiU for Nintendo Wii U is a survival-horror game that utilizes dual screens for an immersive experience. Players must manage scarce resources while navigating a post-apocalyptic London filled with zombies. The game features a unique death mechanic, allowing players to take on new characters and recover lost gear, alongside a multiplayer mode that pits survivors against a Zombie Master.

Atmospheric, addictive and rewarding
Absolutely love this game. It's loaded with atmosphere, especially if you use the headphone mode to play it where you'll hear zombies creeping up behind you etc. I've not been quite so drawn into a game since I played the original Splinter Cell, which seems like a lifetime ago now. The storyline is good and there are plenty of choices of difficulty levels so that even the novice gamer should not get frustrated and stuck. If you do you can just hop to the MiiVerse where other gamers will be more than happy to give you tips. The gamepad is extremely well used. The multiplayer game takes a bit of getting used to to work out what's going on buy stick with it and you'll get there. This is an excellent release game and one that will last you many hours and all your friends will want to have a go at when they come round. There's only 2 save slots, one for survival mode, where you only get one life to complete the game, and one for the normal mode where you re-spawn if you die. You then have to go find your last character and attack it to get your weapons and supplies back - nice! It's a shame there's not more save slots so friends can have their own games saved but it's a small criticism. There's an internet tie in to Ubisoft and as you complete certain goals in the game, you can, from the game menu, access bonus downloads from their site to enhance the game and the menus - no spoilers though! Overall an amazing release game loaded with atmosphere. It's commendable that the sound design with this game as been treated with the same respect as the stunning visuals. The acting and music are first rate and this creates a completely emersive experience.

Who say Nintendo, does kiddy games
This game is rated 18+!!!! so if you are a teenager or a parent with a child between 05-17 years old don't buy it!!!!! The game is about Zombies in London and you try to survive by all means. There is blood and violence in this game, so if you are a parent just make sure you know what you are buying and don't complain later. To elaborates on what the game is, there is an outbreak of zombie which has taken the entire world and you are a normal lad/lass trying to survive in this new horrible world. Again you are not an operative/soldier or agent of MI5 who try to regain control of London where the setting of the game is. And you won't get any fast pack action thing where you shoot 300 zombies with one mega supa dupa gun. It's more resident evil 1 than resident evil 6 or Mass effect type of game. The game is following the instructions of the guy who knew it was coming, seems well prepared and cosy in his safe house. To accomplish your missions :You have your modified tablet, your bag, and a gun with realistic amount of ammo. The game seems to play on the realistic touch in a possible but unlikely situation. Like when you died, you won't play the same character and nearly start from scratch. You may find your previous character being now a zombie and try to kill you. You have one save and can't just use the same character even if you reset the game, cause it save nearly straight away before you get killed. The game is fun and if you like puzzle and slow pace action then that game will please you. The only criticism I have is the control and the bad texture of the game as well as bugs from now and then. OK It's one of the first game on Wii U and we can excuse the developers who don't have much experience with the hardware and the architecture of the console. Nevertheless I can't forgive the glitch and the controller (hence 4 stars) Pro - Good survival game. Not a shooting game with zombie - Challenging and seems to stay realistic while the setting is fantasy. - very good use of the gamepad - good capture of London area - one of few mature game for adults Cons - Lack of texture in some area - no good for extra realistic graphic enthusiasm - Controller are a bit lagging. - I welcome the lack of gun or similar but could have done with knives or other kind of weapons.

Survival Horror Zombie Scare Fest
This is a great survival horror game set around various Zombie infected London locations. Please be aware, it is not a fast paced action first person shooter. Once you die, or get infected, you are dead and lose all the items you have collected and start back at the safe house as a new character armed with just a cricket bat and a few bullets! It is a very intense game, that makes good use of the Gamepad for among other things: scanning areas, or to pick locks. It is also quite a difficult and unforgiving game (well it is for me) - one mistake, or moment of madness and thats it, infected and back to the safe house! I seem to panic when surrounded by Zombies and that always end badly! Using the gamepad adds to sense of panic as you check your back pack to find the item you need whilst the hoards of Zombies close in! I have not tried the multi-player yet, so cannot comment. No Online multi-player. But single player, so far I am really enjoying this game and would recommend to anyone wanting a survival horror game, that is more akin to the old Resident Evil games, rather then a fast paced shooter.

It's okay for a while.
Ambitious but rubbish comes to mind when I think of ZombiU. It's not bad, there have been far worse games made, it's just not as good as it could have been. There's a lot about this game I admire, the atmosphere, the setting, the combat, the survival aspect, and when I started playing it was pretty fun. But after a few hours I started to get annoyed with it. For starters, the game is clearly going for a 'brains over brawn' approach, everything about the controls is built in such away that combat isn't always the best solution, and you're even told very early on that retreat is always a better option. However, there are multiple sections in the game where you are force to stand an fight, and as I've said, the controls just aren't suited for that, making the parts where you have no choice but to fight nothing but a pain The biggest issue is zombies move a lot faster than you think, and you sprint a lot slower than it looks. There were many times I sprinted away from a couple zombies and turned around only to find them right up in my face, which means they can keep up with you even when you're sprinting. Another issue is, despite guns being very easy to find, ammo is so rare you almost never want to use your guns. In the course of my play through I've found two pistols, two shotguns, a rifle, a sniper rifle, a crossbow, a submachine gun, and two assault rifles, and you will almost NEVER find any ammo for most of them except the pistol. It doesn't help that you can't take ammo out of guns once it's loaded, and you can't drop your pistol either, it's permanently in your inventory. There were times I wanted the 15 bullets in my silenced pistol but I couldn't get it, and I could swap my non-silenced pistol for the one that had the bullets. The inventory system downright breaks sometimes too. When you open your backpack or something you use the gamepad to move things to your backpack, drop items, use health pick ups, equip weapons, etc. How ever there were multiple times when I tired to swap my equipped crossbow for a shotgun, only to find once my character was holding the shotgun, I couldn't put the crossbow into my backpack OR into my stash. This happens all the damn times when you're trying to swap rifles or larger weapons. I don't know if there's some kind of weight limit that prevents you from carrying too many weapons or what, because there is no indication of any kind to suggest so. It get's so frustrating trying to swap things around so the game will let me put something into the stash that at times I just got fed up and turned the game off. There's a lot in ZombiU that's good, but there's so much that just annoys me too. There's no real story or narrative flow of any kind to keep you interested either, just going to unexplored areas because you hear people on your radio, and 'The Prepper' that guides you just starts to get annoying after a while, since ever time you go to start a new mission he spends the whole time explaining that you're an idiot for not sitting in your safe house until you die of old age. If you really want a new zombie game, go ahead and get it, but get ready to yell at the tv a lot after the first few hours.

Great Survival Horror game for Wii U!
This game is a mixed bag, going by what reviewers have been saying. But really, should you trust everything a reviewer says? Despite this game getting low rating scores from some reviewers, I feel this game has a lot to offer to the Survival-Horror genre. More emphasis on survival than horror, if I must say so myself. If you're looking for a nice, deep story then please look elsewhere. Whilst this game has a story of sorts, it really isn't deep enough to get involved with because it doesn't really have a main character. I'll explain more about it later. So it's set in 2012, London during a zombie apocalypse. You stumble across a safe house in a train station, watched over a guy called the "Prepper". You have to perform missions for the Prepper, and a story of sorts begins to unfold, trying to find a cure called the panacea for this zombification. Now onto the gameplay. The Wii U Game Pad is definitely integrated well into gameplay here. The Game Pad is used as a map, and also you can switch to your inventory with ease, and use items as needed. When you go into your inventory, your character appears to be checking his backpack on the TV screen, leaving you susceptible to zombie attacks. Before this game was released, there was a huge emphasis on this feature. Really, you rarely get attacked by zombies, as there are few around during areas. Ah, zombies. If you're the sort who goes up to enemies in a game and kill them, you may need to reconsider your tactics. Whilst firearms are available, ammo is scarce, so unless you have an accurate shot, they're not really useful. Confronting two or more zombies is a death sentence. There is always the chance that they'll overwhelm you, and kill you. This happened to me often, and I was forced to change my way of thinking. Now, when you die, you quite literally die. You lose all your stuff that character carried around, and sometimes this can be a problem, especially when you die in a heavy populated area of zombies. You have the option to go back and get the items you lost, but if you get killed on the way to retrieve your items, then tough. This is such a harsh punishment, especially when your previous character had useful items. There are definitely horror elements in this game. There are a few moments where a zombie jumps out at you, and they are pretty scary the first time around. Heck, in the Sewers there was a zombie that was detected on my radar, I knew it was there, but it still scared me when it jumped out at me. However, a bad thing about this game is the fact there is a game breaking bug. **SPOILER** When you complete the game, and fly away on the helicopter another survivor stumble across the train station, an option should be available where you can start the game again, with the items you got during your previous game, on the same save file. Sadly, you won't be able to access this save file; selecting it does nothing. So to conclude, Zombi U is a must-own for Wii U, it's definitely a decent survivor-horror game. If you're looking for quite a long gaming experience with this game, it's sad to say that it's quite short; I managed to complete this game 100% in a measley 14 hours. RATING: 4/5

YES I do want more games like this. Make more please
I have now got my own Wii U. They have there own but the kids are starting to play on mine too on the 1st few days so have kicked them off. LOL we have 4 kids. This is the type of game I have been wanting to play for years. The use of the game pad is brilliant & I will be playing this game for some time. Tactics & thinking game play is what I crave. Not all gun & shoot like most. if it was a real situation you would act similar to this game. use your brain & survive. We all need more games like this!!!!!!!!! I am a keyboard & mouse player & find this gamepad Nintendo idea *****FANTASTIC*****. Brilliant & cost £14 approx. WOW PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A 18 YEAR GAME. MY KIDS WILL NOT BE PLAYING THIS. They do sneak a peak at me playing & have screamed a few times. Adult game for sure PS I have a gaming pc & have taken a step down in graphics & still like this ALOT. My pc will out play any console for the next 4-5 years EASY. Its not all about the graphics this gamepad idea brings new light to gaming. I have pre ordered Mario kart on the wife's instructions. 5x play away & me on the over console. LOL I WILL WIN

Absolute must buy
This has got to be one of the BEST survival horrors I have ever played. They've got the mixture of tension and fear pretty much perfect. With other games of a similar genre, such as the Resident Evil series, you know that if you die you can just load your save file and try again. This takes away a lot form the tension / fear factor. With this game if you die your character becomes a zombie. You then wake up as another character with no equipment - you have to find your original zombified character, kill them and retrieve your stuff. It also records how many survivors you played through so the stakes are very high not to get killed, and you definitely sweat every time you see a zombie! Plenty of times to make you jump and swear also. Fantastic form start to finish. If you own a Wii U, like horror games and haven't played this then get it! It even has a cool feature where you can zombify your own face!

Echt krass
