Good little lathe and very versatile
This is Definitely a good little lathe. I would highly recommend getting the variable speed knob with the lathe itself. It's just the right size for making beads, chess pieces, rings, and little decorative flairs for other projects. I was sceptical about having to use a chuck to switch between wood lathe bits but it's super easy and worth the extra functionality of it. The tools they provide definitely justify the price of it. the sand paper they provide is Emery cloth style with the strong flexible backing, the little calipers are great for sizing my chess pieces the same, the bead tools are fun to use, the turning tool is surprisingly good and makes quick clean work of my projects, and I'm exited to use the jade cutting bit. I would just toss the saw pieces unless you are super brave and experienced with wood working. The motor is stronger than you think it will be and vary stable on the table if you set it up right. If this one ever has issues I will definitely be buying another

A little powerhouse!
As a custom ring maker, I've been using micro-lathes for over 5 years and can confidently recommend them for this application. Their compact size allows them to fit within a dust collection hood, which is ideal for indoor use when working conditions aren't ideal in your shop. This particular model impressed me with the abundance of usable accessories specifically suited for ring making. For example, the extended bed length provides more working space for holding the ring mandrel and manipulating the ring stock. Additionally, the stabilizing feet make a world of difference in terms of stability – a must-have feature for precision work like rings where even slight movement can affect the outcome. Overall, the extended functionality and improved stability make this lathe a worthwhile investment that should last for many years to come, just like my previous one.

This is a mini lathe! Anything larger than 2" diameter won't fit.
I've always wanted a wood lathe and since it's been forty years since I used one starting out small is the safest way. I made some crepe myrtle handles, very hard wood, for a draw knife I made. The machine worked great, but the small chisel got dull a few times. I used a fine file and stone getting it back ready for more. The chisel rest needs to be a harder steel for the chisel to maneuver with ease, I'm going to make my own. It would be nice if it came with more attachments, sander wheels, different chisels, but overall a fun machine to work with.

No Good! Cheap and breaks easily!
Update: I received the parts literally the day after the review. Not sure how or what but they were weeks late and have already cost me customers orders at that point. I still stick by my review on buying Vevor. It last less than a week. The seller said he was sending me new parts and never did. I'm assuming to get past the return date he lied. It is cheap and literally breaks easily. I would recommend Vevor.

Mini Lathe
I bought this with the idea that I would turn bridge pins for my guitars on it. Ordered it and found it on my door step the next day. Wow Amazon! Unpacking it showed no surprises. Well packaged. Quite a few odds and ends were included for sanding, shaping, and turning. It comes with a chuck that will open to 9/32”. The manual is actually very good for these type of import small tools. Useful information with numerous pictures. Very thorough. Everything went together as shown. I was impressed by how well things slid together. The little tail stock glides nicely as does the tool rest. I read complaints about the tool rest not being able to be set close enough to the stock. I found switching the cinch bolt to the opposite side solves this problem. Turning on it is another thing. Motor speed is set on the power supply. Mine would not spin on the lowest setting. Next one up it worked fine. It spins pretty fast so develop a light hand. The tool that was included was ok to play with but I have a small set of tools that worked much better. Overall this is meant for small items like finials or bridge pins or… but it does work and works pretty well.

It’s small, but works great
Just know it is very small. We use it to make pens… it works great! The saw attachment is a bit schechy …but for the price and functionality it’s great. Just keep in mind the size.

Great little lathe
This is the third time I bought one of these little woodturning lathes. The previous two that I bought were just so cheap and flimsy I couldn't use them. This one actually has a little beef to it for such a little thing. But I am very happy with it and I will make more money doing Christmas ornaments than the very reasonable price that they charge for this product. My suggestion is by this one and quit looking at the others cuz they suck...

Don't waste your money
Worked well for about 3 months and then the bearings went out in the tail piece making it completely useless. Would NOT recommend.
