Good solid controller
I had an original Saitek X52 for a couple of decades. The only reason I had to replace it was because the PS2 connection on the back of the stick section was getting loose. I've heard reports that the build quality of the newer Logitech units was less than the original, but if that's true, I sure can't tell the difference. The finish and feel are good and the device works just like my original. I even had the confidence to go ahead and void the warranty by removing the throttle detent. I'm pretty sure I'll be using this one at least as long as my previous unit.

Fantastic starter HOTAS setup
After reading many negative reviews about Logitech’s line of joysticks and HOTAS setups I decided on just going ahead and giving the entry-level X52 a chance.I’m really glad I did! It’s an excellent beginner set for space sims (Elite Dangerous is all I use it for currently), with just about the right number of buttons and hat switches in all the logical places, and very good ergonomics all round.Build quality is decent, it’s pretty much all plastic but the grips are rubberized and very grippy. The bases are a little light, and the suction cups only work ok to stop them sliding around, but it’s not a deal-breaker for me by any means.None of the buttons or other inputs have issues, everything worked straight out of the box, perfectly.I can’t attest to the Logitech software for this because I only use it in Elite, which has very good presets from the devs. Again, right out of the box.All in all, I couldn’t be much happier. We’ll see how the quality stands up to regular use after several months, but you get what you pay for, right? I knew I wasn’t getting a Warthog or VKB, but for several hundred dollars less, it’s a superb first dip into the world of HOTAS.

Reasonable Joystick
So far, the Logitech x52 is working as expected. One complaint is that the joystick is not mounted correctly in that it is slightly twisted to the right. Note that this does not seem to impact functionality. I would have rated this better but frankly, the documentation of how to use this joystick seems entirely inadequate.

I Prefer The X52 Over Any Other Stick
I had owned a few of these when they were under the Saitek name. They are the best sticks I have ever used. I didn't own several of them because they are junk. I was extremely rough on my prior ones because I used the stick to walk in Battlefield 2 and they just aren't made for that kind of use. I recommend this stick and throttle quadrant over any other.

I am Incredibly impresseed!
I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with this device! Although I am still acquainting myself with all of its functions, such as the multifunction display, profiles, and programming of the various buttons, I must say that it is simply phenomenal. However, what I appreciate most about this device is how seamless it feels to operate - it's almost as if I am piloting a spaceship!

2 broken joysticks in a row. Horrible QC.
This purely a product review. The company handled both of my returns promptly and professionally. I order the H.O.T.A.S. System in late November and within 2 weeks the Z-rotation of the joystick itself stopped working. It was stuck to one side which meant it had to be configured out of the controls to avoid crashing. The return was issued and I figured it was a fluke so I requested a replacement. Within a week (mid December now), the return was here and I was back to playing my games. Again, after a couple of weeks of reasonable use, the lights started flickering on the joystick and none of the controls would work.2 issues in a row means there are major quality control issues. I am a long time gamer, with some of my first PC games being Wolfenstein 3d and Earthsiege. I have used several control systems over the past 30+ years and have never had such an immediate failure. The system itself feels solid and does not appear to be cheaply or poorly manufactured which makes the failure a real shame. The Thrustmaster system that I am now going to have to buy definitely has a cheaper feel and a poorly designed button layout but they do not have the diminishing reputation of what once was a decent company.

Can't Be Beat for $150
Must have for combat flight sims. I actually purchased for Squadrons in VR and it has so many buttons I never have to use my keyboard. Makes the game extremely immersive. The throttle is very tight even with the torque limit set to zero but you get used to it.I am very happy with the performance and quality for how much it was brand new. Can't wait to break out some of my old games to see if it can add a new life to some old favorites.

I love it
I bought this as my first HOTAS and find it to be a very nice set up. I was reading a lot of the reviews and didnt really know what i was going to get as a lot of them seemed to be mixed. Everything works great, suction cups hold well as long as the surface is clean, found it pretty easy to set up and use. The only thing I really noticed is the throttle control is quite large in my opinion, I have to stretch my hand a bit to reach the buttons. All in all I love it and will probably order another if this one dies

Very good budget joystick
It's an amazing joystick. I love it and I have been using it for DCS and it has not let me down. Though the performance is good and me saying its budget joystick, I would say that $200 CAD is somewhat expensive for a joystick that is at least 5 years old.

Great intro or casual flight combo.
This was great for the money, There's a surprising amount of tensioners and adjusters lots of fully programmable buttons and it was the cheapest thruster/joystick combo I could find. Yet it's quite serviceable. It does feel relatively light and fragile however I expected it for the price. You won't be using it for hardcore Flight Sims but for games like squadrons it's perfect.

Good Budget stick
I'm using this mostly to play Elite Dangerous a space sim and it works. I don't expect it to last "for ever" it's not a winwing, i'll probably change it in a year or so for a better one. For a starter HOTAS with everything I need respecting my budget and not a "cheap feel" it's what I picked after a lot of research. The game runs smooth, all the buttons I need, I'm happy with it I give it 5 star.

Be prepared to learn how to make it work for your games.
The software to program the function’s could be improved, and the button mapping could come with a small diagram, even as a pdf it would work.I have it running on an Alienware and it needs to be unplugged after every game or it “forgets “ what it should be doing, when it is up and running, I can’t go back to the mouse and keyboard layout. When it won’t work, I reboot the computer till it does work.
