This Parker Vector is a solid, well‑made fountain pen. The black and chrome design looks clean and classic, and the medium nib writes smoothly without any skipping. It’s comfortable to hold and feels reliable for everyday use. The included blue ink is a nice touch, and the pen starts writing straight away without needing much pressure. It’s lightweight but still feels properly put together, which is what you’d expect from Parker.

I use these all day. They write just as good as expensive models: clean, smooth, nice, great ink flow, no smudges The fine nib is spot on for me, the medium is just a little bit too thick Doesnt come with a converter, they cost another fiver Only downside is they feel a little cheap, plasticky and flimsy compared to a "nice" pen like a waterman, but they also cost less than a tenth of those. So rating: 5*s for the price, but probably only 4 overall. Happy to recomend, but if you want a nice pen for under £20, get a 2nd hand waterman off ebay. Wont write any better but looks and feels a different class

What can I say about this Parker? For starters, it writes brilliantly (medium nib). Secondly, it's quite a robust little thing, unless you step on it. Above all: it's a proper fountain pen, that does the job as well as anything above £500. You DO NOT have to spend silly money on a good fountain pen. That is total and utter poppycock. All these articles about "What is a good beginner fountain pen?"... total rubbish... there is no such thing as a beginner fountain pen. (Calligraphy pens are a different matter. But they're for art... not everyday writing.) Don't get me wrong, there are good and bad pens. But the Parker is GOOD. I have written thousands of pages with one of these pens and it has NEVER let me down. I have also written with expensive pens (can't reveal which, as this review is not about them) and they were absolutely no better. Some advice: if you don't want to spend the extortionate prices Parker charge for refills, do what I've been doing for about 20 years - refill your used cartridge from an ink bottle with a medical syringe. Easy and cheap.

I originally owned one of these black pens when I was 12 and used it until I (intentionally) broke it at school about a year or so later. When I saw it on sale here I went straight for it because even 15 years later I retained the respect for this pen's quality: - Standard length and relatively thin and light making it easy to write with. - No ink leakage or waste. Ink flows very well unless the nib is either wet, has been left without its cap overnight or the cartridge is low on ink. No blotting. - Has just the right amount of scratchiness. - No paper tears. - Pen produces lovely letters and can cater to a variety of handwriting. I write in strong cursive and the ink does not bleed or smear, which is excellent. - The only small issue I have is the cap can easily wiggle and slip off the end. It's better to leave the cap on the table than treat this like some common sort of biro and watch the lid fly across the room while writing. - Pen is not flimsy despite being made mostly from plastic. You'd have to be manhandling this thing to a peculiar degree to break it. Buy this pen, you'll love it.

Perfect Parker pen. Doesn't leak or blob, and is an absolute pleasure to write with. We all know they knew what they were doing with the design of these. Easy to recommend.

Awesome. My kid expressed an interest in fountain pens after writing excessive notes for school. She wanted to write fast so had borrowed my old fountain pen. I bought her this as it was my first ever pen 40 years ago. It’s perfect! In fact I also bought one for myself. It’s smooth as I remember and can mold to your writing slant, unlike other expensive ones, which I find more difficult to adjust to my penmanship.
