Bought this to dedicate one of my water faucets outside my house to water my tomato plants. Reliable and easy to use! If you are trying to use rechargeable double AA batteries, make sure they are rated at 1.5 volts.

This timer is easy to use and offers clear selection options for Date, Time Duration, Auto or Manual mode. However, when you purchase the timer you should also purchase a "Water Hammer Arrestor" as when the time shuts off it is a very sudden stop that creates a hammer effect. The Water Hammer Arrestor help reduce / eliminate the hammer sound and effect.

This is a solid product with the brass fittings on each end with a timer that can be adjusted as many times as you want. I would suggest putting a water hammer arrestor just ahead of this unit to control pipe banging, the unit shuts off quickly thus the water banging. Great product, would purchase again.

This controller works well and is easy to program. The fitting where the 1/4 tubing inserts is totally inadequate. My line pressure, at 65 psi, caused the line to blow out of the unit, shooting water all over the place, and starving the plants that are intended to be watered. So now I was faced with installing a pressure reducer or install a proper push fitting to prevent the blowout. The push fitting would have been very easy for Rainbird to include, but they chose garbage instead.

The people that designed this really thought about how to make this simple. It does exactly what I need. Set the time and date. Set what time(s) you want it to turn on. Set what days you want it to turn on. Set how long it should run for. Turn it on auto and you are done. The only other button is a manual override on/off which helps me test the system and see what parts need replacing without affecting the schedule. It takes AAs that last at least a season so cheap to operate. I now run 4 of these to cover different areas. Only issue is 2 in a riw showed up with cracked LCD screens probably due to some errant package tossing en route. Just look them over when they arrive. Once they are mine they are solid.

This controller is built like a tank, easy to use and works flawlessly. It's been out in the weather for a year so far (no freezing in our climate) and no problems.

bought this in June 2025 and only used for a couple months to run misters for my chickens during the summer. Was stored starting fall of 2025 until one week ago and it already broke. Don’t understand why something that is made to be used with water, has a plastic component that just slides into another plastic component. Looks like no glue or anything at all. The whole thing just fell off and the top piece remained on the spigot. Waste of money.

Due to recent lawn repair for cable work, we got a section of new sod. Happens to be dry season in SoFlo which is ultra hot and dry this year. Irrigation pump died and it’s not really worth replacing. Sod immediately started to die so I setup a hose end sprinkler which has been a pain to remember to turn on/off each evening. After looking up options for timers, I decided a simple mechanical wasn't really much of an improvement and we certainly don’t need a high end wifi type, seemed like a basic digital type is best bang for buck for simple needs and this unit might be worth spending the extra since it’s the only one I found with brass inlet and outlet which will hold up to the extreme uv exposure here better than plastic. Figure we will need it at new house later this year to water the new lawn so hoping the rest of it holds up as well as the brass fittings. Anyway, unit feels well made, took all of maybe 5 min to setup. Instructions are not really needed but available online. Just attached it 10 min ago, used manual button to set water flow and it seems fine. Manual on/off worked without any problem, has a bit of a delay but it’s only seconds. Will see how it does on auto in a couple hours. Update: it came on and shutoff just as I programmed. Certainly appears to be a well made timer. No leaks at either end, just double check the washers and maybe add a second washer if a fitting doesn’t tighten up before the point of bottoming out.

Die Gewinde sind nicht mit EU-Gewinden kompatibel (GHT vs. BSP) - Wer sich das Produkt dennnocht kauft, muss mind. einen Adapter kaufen und die gibt es im Prinzip nicht!!! Was man trotzdem machen kann: Auf der Oberseite einen GHT/GHT-Doppelnippel (ca. 15-20 Eur) einschrauben, dann oben und unten einen 3/4-Zoll-Schlauch aufsetzen und mit einer Schlauchschelle festschrauben. Dadurch ist auch der Grund für die häufigste Beschädigung der Uhr beseitigt: die starre Befestigung am Wasserhahn. (Wenn das Produkt nicht flexibel/per Schlauch am Hahn befestigt wird, kann das Plastik vom Ventil schneller brechen!!!)

Best timer I've ever found. So intuitive to program with plenty of options.

Had two for a few years and they are reliable. Much better than the other choices I had tried over the years.

For some reason this water timer leaks from the water inlet area around the join between the body and the black ring used for securing it to the tap - I wish we'd never bought it!
