Elephant Feet Healthcare

Had to get these as my last bit of equipment in readiness for total hip replacement. Bed needed to be raised from 19" to about 23" so looked on the net for bed risers. Hundreds of them with lots of different designs but very few accurate measurements and descriptions mostly for spindly-legged chairs and beds with castors. After much deliberation plumped for these although again, very difficult to tell what they were going to look like or what size they are from the description. They're fine. They are light grey plastic, weight 200 grms each, measure 9.5 cm across the bit where the leg goes in, 30.5 cm diameter round the top, 10.5cm high and the diameter of the bottom of the foot is 50 cm. The bed leg would sit just inside the top on a piece of foam rubber, reinforced under that with a cross bar of plastic which makes them strong enough to hold a good weight. They will fit 'bun feet' wood bed legs thank goodness as that's what I was looking for. Not sure about thinner, castor type legs as the rubber forms a sort of cushion just inside the top of the well. Not pretty and if your house is furnished entirely normally they'll stand out like a sore, grey foot. They do the job very well and, as they were bought sight unseen as it were, I was really pleased.

I bought these as temporary lifts to an old antique writing desk that I have that isn't really designed for the more modern chairs. My office chair had no hope of getting under the desk with me on it, so rather than replacing the desk I bought these feet to boost up the desk to a more usable height. These are quite large sturdy plastic cups and they are never going to win an award for their clunky looks, but to raise a sofa up a few inches or to raise a desk to a more usuable height they are perfect. You could even bring up the height of a hefty oak bed I suspect. They feel very strong and I suspect they will be able to withstand quite a heavy weight. My temporary measure has now stayed permanent! Size wise, I guess they are about 5 or 6 inches in diameter, so they are definitely not small. The name elephant feet fits them perfectly because they are big, fat and grey!

Bought these to raise the hight of my arm chair for my Dad when he visits, These made it so much easier for him to get in and out of the chair and he was delighted. The chair is very sturdy and the castor wheels fitted well into the feet, the hardest job was lifting the chair up to put the feet under so you will need two people to do this. They don't look too attractive, but they are perfect for the job and I would definitely recommend them.

Bit too big, very good quality and stable even on an armchair, but we are not using them. Purchased to assist my mother to get up out of her chair, but as they have a large 'rise' her feet couldn't reach the floor. Probably ok for someone with longer legs!

Had to laugh when I saw these, so that's why there called elephant feet I thought! even with no-one to help I manaed to pop them under my sofa and what a difference it made, fantastic. But they stood out so much, that I knew I was going have to somehow cover them up. I put a throw on my sofa but even though I let it hang right down you could still see "the feet". Then I had an idea, I went in my draw and got some tights, cut them at the knee and pulled them over the feet tucking them in at the top were the sofa was going rest. My sofa is pink but the black looks so much better then grey and im going to buy some red or pink tights next week. Someone may have thought of doing this already but im so pleased there now covered. It did cross my mind to paint them before I thought of the tights idea. You could use pop socks If you had some .It doesn't make the feet any less effective and they are still stable. But would not do this on a polished floor or lino. I love my sofa now.

My partner was having difficulty getting up from his armchair. I was on the verge of buying a riser recliner, when a friend suggested these. They arrive quickly, I put them under the legs of his chair, and het presto,, he is now able to go from sitting to standing without any help from me. I’m very pleased.

I used them for raising the height of my armchair in my living room. They provide a stable means of raising my chair BUT: they are hollow and open at the bottom, so all the weight is carried on the rim of the feet. That's fine on a hard surface floor but on carpets they quickly create a ring depression in the carpet. As they are not attached to the chair legs, moving the chair around regularly is not an option so that ring depression stays in one place, and no doubt in time will become permanent.

Easy to put under bed feet. Has raised bed enough to make standing easier when getting up. Has been strong and sturdy since putting on. Well worth the cost for me as has made big difference physically when rising and getting into bed.

ich habe diese "elefantenfüsse" erhalten und sofort damit mein Balkonsofa erhöht. Ist wirklich sehr sehr einfach und stabil. Sieht nur nicht sooo schön aus. Aber halt sehr praktisch wenn einer Möbel besitzt die sehr tief liegen. eindeutige Kaufempfehlung. Hat wirklich fünf Sterne verdient.

J'ai commandé ces pieds (d'éléphants, j'ai envie de dire... LOL...) pour en utiliser deux pour relever les pieds du bas de mon lit. Pour avoir donc les pieds, mes pieds, surélevés, pour un meilleur retour veineux. Je craignais que cela me gêne vu que cela soulève une partie de mon lit d'un peu plus de 10 cm... Et bien, ce n'est pas du tout gênant ! Au contraire, j'ai l'impression que cela améliore vraiment mon sommeil et mon repos. Avec un couvre-lit ou une couette qui retombent bien sur les bords, ils ne se voient pas trop. Sinon, il faut avouer que ce n'est pas très discret... En tous cas, on sent une stabilité à toute épreuve. Je ne regrette pas mon achat. Seul bémol, dommage que l'on puisse pas les acheter par paire.

I put these under my white standing desk at work as the maximum height couldn't reach me. They worked perfectly and are much more aesthetically pleasing than other options on the market.
