Very clever design & worth getting
The pistol screwdriver is a pretty cool gadget. Although not tested over a long period ,it seems very well made and cleverly designed. The storage aspect with spare bits in is a nice touch, and means that it's always ready for use Although it's not a high end screwdriver , it looks as if it'll last for years. Everything I've bought from Bahco has never failed, so this should be more than up to the task.

Nice Quality
This is a really good ratchet screwdriver. It has a comfortable grip, a quick release mechanism for 1/4 inch bits. Press the two orange buttons either side of the handle and a slot in the base slides out smoothly with the screw bits inside. I chose the angled handle model. Press the orange button on the handle and twist. The lower half is now at a comfortable and natural screwing angle to assist with installing screws higher up on a wall, chest height or above. The result? Less stress on the wrists. This screwdriver can also be used with the handle straight. The choice is yours. It is easily worth the money because it is a lovely tool, has a smooth ratchet and a nice weight in the hands, as well.

Best bit holder screwdriver I have ever used
The Bahco Pistol Ratchet here is excellent. Very solid construction, great grip, good ratchet, knurl on the spindle, versatility of normal grip or pistol grip, moderately strong magnet. I can't think of a better screwdriver that I have used. Only one downside - the bit storage holder can be a bit slow to eject from the handle. Despite that minor point, this is a total 100% recommendation. Update after a couple of years usage: still working great, always been my go-to screwdriver, in fact so pleased with it I've bought second one for another tool kit.

Handy tool to have in the toolbox
Good set nice sturdy holding compartment and button for turning the handle to 90 degrees for extra leverage, dropped a star though as the ratchet will lock up on occasions and stop working, I have to then move the ratchet dial to the centre and back into position and release pressure on it to get it to work again

My new best DIY friend. Well designed tool.
Love, love, love this ratchet screwdriver! It's sturdy and well designed. I particularly love that the bit-holder on the back "pops" out, instead of screws off. Oh the number of times I've tried to screw something on and found myself catching the bits as the cap came off. No more! I do also like the pistol grip option, but found that as the screwdriver is quite long it is actually a little bit unstable to use it in that orientation. I've had it for a few months now and used it for multiple jobs, but it's holding up very well indeed. Highly recommend.

Superb
Best screwdriver I've had, the convertible handle is very useful. The drawer containing the bits was difficult to open the first time I tried it, I think it had been inserted the wrong way round, works fine now. 100% improvement on the Stanley bit driver I had before, the shaft was removable and however hard you turned the locking mechanism it always came loose at a critical point. Love the ratchet facility too, saves my wrist from seizing up. One of the "joys" of getting old!

My favourite tool. Needs oiling every now and then but it works great

This was an amazing tool from the moment it reached my hands. Full disclosure, I am a new guy in the tinkering world and I am learning it as I go. I had a small screw driver with a relatively good bit set, but I was lacking something with a bit more sturdiness. I wanted a solid screwdriver I could use as a multi-purpose tool, and this was definitely a good choice. It feels heavy in my hand (I personally like that) and has been helping me in every fix I need to do. The rotating handle is great for when you need to apply a bit more force. (In my country you need to force the screw in when mounting some furniture, so it helps me given that I have no automated tools for that yet). The ratcheting mechanism works great, very easy to use but was a bit counter-intuitive for me. If I want to tighten a screw (going clockwise) I need to rotate the switch counter-clockwise, but after you use it a few times it doesn't really matter anymore. In general a great multi-purpose tool. I recommend you get a good bit set to go with it, which is what I plan on doing next.

--- EN --- I was searching for a ratcheting screwedriver till i stumbled upon this Bahco. In general is a ratcheting screwdriver a blessing for your wrist, you work faster and only use 1 hand. That is especially of advantage when working in hard to reach places or screwing upside down. But, this Bahco offers much more! 1. The bits are cleverly stored in the handle. 2. The handle can be turned 90 degs and so be transformed into a Pistol handle. That way you have much more momentum to loosen a stuck screw, or to tighten one hard. 3. And all this for a price better than regular ratcheting screwdrivers. Whereas the quality is more than adequate - i have expected worse. It is definitely in the top Handyman-enthusiast / bottom Pro area. I was sceptical when purchasing due the price/the brand, especially as the transform handle and the ratcheting mechanism are potential failure points if incorrectly or cheap made. That is not the case, both mechanisms work clean and without "play". The only negatives are the 4 cross bits (2 Philips, 2 Pozidrive), i would wish for 2 Hex instead of 2 Philips or 2 flat bits - those are rarely used nowadays anyway... Lastly i wish there was a Quick-release mechanism instead of the magnet, then this screwdriver would be perfect!

Very solid tool, ratchet action is smooth, handle is of good quality. Couldn't be happier. It's noticably heavier than the average ratcheting screwdriver but I'd have to say it's a comfortable weight and that I won't be expecting problems with this tool anytime soon.
