Classic Steel Loop Cap – Leak-Proof, Dishwasher-Safe, BPA-Free – Brushed Stainless

Narrow mouth Klean Kanteen and Hydro Flask bottles are my favorite water bottles and have been for years. The plastic caps they both come with are interchangeable (usually, tolerances can vary a little) and they work fine and are well designed but these all steel caps are way better. Hydro flask used to make the best all steel option but it appears they stopped making them, so this is now the best and only all steel cap I’m aware of. There’s the Klean Kanteen version with bamboo on top but it’s not as robust or as solid as this one. These all steel caps are great because they add a little extra insulation for when that matters (hot/cold) and eliminate the ever increasing plastic exposure in water bottles. Also, these solid one piece caps are much easier to clean since there’s no crevices to deal with which gives bacteria a nice little home to grow and smell. Pro tip on water bottles btw, don’t put anything in them but water and they won’t get gross and smelly ;)

The product is smaller than the original cap that did not survive another drop. Part of this reduced size is that the loop is lower profile, but one end is not fused to the cap, so bigger fingers will fit under it for transport. I expect it is very durable due to its material and low profile. That’s important to me because I wear XL or XXL gloves because I have larger hands. The cap is leakproof and dishwasher safe which makes the canteen more hygienic.For the weight conscious, the polymer sport top weighs 46.2 grams while the new stainless weighs 36.25 g. All in all, I am very pleased with it. I Highly Recommend it.

Good quality but supper squeaky metal on metal threads. Not ideal for way a yoga class.

Pretty cool cap to reduce plastic exposure and fits in my previous 27oz klean kanteen stainless steel water bottle which is awesome. There is a plastic m/ rubber looking ring that helps with seal I assume. No leak so far. Not cheap cap but hope it will last for years to come☺️

I had an old Kleen Kanteen that I had ordered from LL Bean years ago. The cap was nasty and I thought about throwing the whole thing away. Then I looked on Kleen Kanteen's website and saw that they had replacement caps. Found the same thing here on Amazon and didn't have to pay shipping!

Love this cap! Moved from a Hydroflask to a stainless steel finish Klean Kanteen because coloured coatings on water bottles always ends up flaking off in the dishwasher, and water somehow always made its way INTO the plastic hydroflask lid during the wash cycle (I could hear it sloshing about inside the lid), and dripped out slowly during the day, getting everything wet. This cap not only removes all plastic from the equation (yay), but is also completely impervious to water. I just wish they made a full stainless steel cap for the wide-mouth kanteen.

This is a great stainless steel option with a silicone ring to ensure a leak-free fit. Unfortunately, I am used to carrying a full liter of fluid by the lid itself with one finger. This lid is definitely not designed for doing so. Maybe in the future they will design one that is as comfortable as the plastic ones are. It also took forever to be delivered - almost 3 weeks. Do not order if you are in a rush.

I have a Aer sling, and my bottle only just fits in. It’s a squeeze. But now with this new lid it fits. And also there’s no rattle from a dangling loop (like the bamboo version I was considering). And I can still attach the bottle via the carabiner to the outside of the bag. The shop I ordered this from posted the item on the same day as I ordered (Sunday) and it arrived Monday morning. Thats fast. Nice one.

Works great with the kleen canteens.

This lid fit my Kleen Kanteens perfectly and reduced our use of the plastic ones we had, I only wish the top handle wasn’t so small and had softer edges where the fingers could easily get through.
