Light, comfy and actually stays put – finally a knee pad I forget I’m wearing
Bought the POC Joint VPD Air Knee after smashing my knee one too many times on light trail rides. Super light (390 g in Large), crazy flexible straight out the box, and the wide neoprene sleeve with silicone grippers keeps them exactly where they should be – no slipping even on sweaty Welsh descents. VPD hardens properly on impact (tested that the hard way at BikePark Wales – walked away laughing). Been wearing them 6 months under Fox Ranger pants; vent really well, no stink, quick to dry. If you want proper protection without feeling like you’re wearing cricket pads, these are spot on. Best knee pads I’ve owned. Worth every penny of the £75.

POC means quality
POC offers great quality and great protection. If it says POC you can't really go wrong. I ride mountain bikes and would recommend POC.

Very important to size yourself correctly, I went with a Large and I’m Glad I did, if you have any doubts size up these are a snug fit - this however means that they don’t slip on The trail - they are also quite comfortable and you forget your have them on after 10 min or so - you can feel the quality of workmanship as soon as you handle the item, great level of protection also - highly recommended

Good heavy duty kneepad
So personally I would classify these as enduro or downhill knee pads. They are really protective and give me a lot of confidence over gnarly technical terrain, however I wouldn't want to wear them if I were only doing casual trail riding as they restrict leg rotation a fair bit. The fit well and stay in place without falling down. Overall they are a good set of pads.

ive crash tested these a couple of times and they dont slide around like my worn out previous pads and offer good impact
very stiff at first. rubbed the back of my knees for the first two or 3 rides, but stick with it as they soon soften up where it anchors to your leg. also they may feel warm for the first 5 minutes but when the moisture wicking properties take effect i dont notice them on. ive crash tested these a couple of times and they dont slide around like my worn out previous pads and offer good impact protection

Quality justifies high end price
Great fit. Slight slippage after more than 2 hours of mtb but easy to retighten. Protection feels like it will be good although not had reason to find out yet. Good protection without being too restrictive is how I would describe these.

They stay where they should
These are the first pads I have use that are both comfortable and stay put when pedaling. They are a little warm as there is not a huge amount of breathability but I wouldn't swap them for any other pads now.

Protection to knee seems good but material scrunches up behind knee making it uncomfortable. Straps come undone whilst cycling and feel Velcro will not last. Followed sizing guide and far too small so size up if considering buying.

Great Pads
Fantastic service from Backcountry, from ordering to my door in one day. I have a set of Fox Launch Pro pads that I've been wearing for the last few weeks, a descent pad, maybe a little bulky but the sizes run very small. Even the L/XL was giving me problems after an hour or so of riding. I had these recommended to me by a friend and decided to spend the extra cash and give them a try. I ordered a pair in XL size and as soon as I put them on I knew they were what I had been looking for, Light, comfortable and a good level of protection. The fit is perfect, the pad stays in place without chafing. They are a lower profile than the Fox pads I was using and there are no problems wearing them under 3/4 shorts. They are a little expensive but I'm happy with paying the extra cash for a pad that I can actually wear without discomfort. I think POC now do a Downhill version that may be worth looking at if you need something more robust, after all these are more of a XC / Enduro pad.

Ein guter solider Protektor für das Knie
Ein wirklich guter und solider Protektor. Passt in meiner bestellten Größe sehr gut. Also da Rutscht nichts und sitzt stramm.
