This is a really great bit of kit. I especially love using it for making curry's stews. Easy to use and to clean after. Saves time usually spent with a knife.

I bought this chopper a few weeks ago for one purpose - to chop onions. I always make a mess of chopping them manually and so even though I don't normally buy this sort of gadget, enough was enough. So far I've used it several times for chopping onions and brambly apples and I've been quite impressed. To start with, although the photographs all show half onions being chopped, I haven't tried this. Firstly, as I want tiny bits and secondly because it can be a little difficult to use - sometimes you need a lot of force in order to chop on the small grate. As this was with smaller slices, I imagine a full half onion would require much more force. The larger grates seem easier. I've only used it on a limited selection of vegetables so far and it has dealt with all of them. I still do butternut squash by hand though, I'm not really sure if this is capable of chopping hard vegetables like this. As well as the cutting lid, it comes with a "stay fresh" lid. I had assumed I wouldn't need this, but then found it was perfect for when you need to shake up the box, e.g. when you add lemon juice and want to mix it in your chopped apple to stop it discolouring. The base has some rubber feet to stop it sliding when you're applying force. Clearing is somewhat of a pain - the hinged lid does detach, but cleaning the press itself can be tricky as bits of vegetables get wedged in it. It does come supplied with a fork-like device which does ease it a bit, but it's still a pain. It can also be a pain getting bits out of the blades. I'm probably going to not bother hand cleaning it any more and just shove it in the dishwasher. Speaking of the blades, my very first action when I got the unit was to swap out the default blade for the smallest. It was quite tight to remove and when I finally popped it off, I managed to slice my little finger in several places. At least is showed the blades were sharp! Subsequent changes have been accident-free, it was just that initial stiffness. Interestingly, the product photo's don't really do it justice - the unit is quit a bite bigger than it would appear and larger than I was expecting. One thing I don't like is the noise when the lid slams together after cutting is complete. I'm tempted to add a rubber pad to dull this. I definitely like the ease of cutting, uniform sizes and no tears when chopping onions. And the total lack of mess which always happen when I manually chop stuff. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this unit. I will amend my review as I test new veggies in it or if it breaks.

Looking for an effective one of these for years and have discarded a few along the way. This is a good system and chunks quickly and easily into the box provided. If you're not using immediately there is a close fitting lid that replaces the cutting lid. Some thought is needed on the shape you put in otherwise everything solid will be baton shaped. Leaves are chopped nicely. There are three different cutters and a cleaning tool also included. Cleaning of the bowl and lids is fairly simple. Beware ! The cutting blades are extremely sharp and the slightest touch can mean blood. Take care in handling. Use the small scraper tool to clean the blades and the press. Leafy items do get tangled in the press but are easily removed with a bit of care. Overall, this item works well. It's difficult to retrieve and put the items through again so think about your needs and cut your fruit, veg and salad accordingly.

These are a brilliant addition to any kitchen to make healthy meals quickly. They provide neatly and evenly chopped vegetables to pop in your meals. It helps us to sneak in vegetables to pasta sauces, for a very picky daughter. The blades are very sharp so you do have to be careful when cleaning taking apart, but the design means that it is safer than trying to chop onions into small pieces by hand. This is our second one of these items as we had used our previous one so much it finally went blunt. However, I can say that they are sturdy products as our first lasted 5 years of abuse! Based on that you can safely say they are good value for money. The instructions say hand wash only but also dishwasher safe. We pop it in the top rack of the dishwasher to clean.

I have been using the QuickPush Chopper everyday for about 1 week now and I am stunned to find myself describing somethign as simple as 'a veggie chopper' as being "Outstanding". I say "Outstanding" because: 1. The design is simple, uncluttered, unfussy and effective - simple to use, simple to clean, simple to maintain. 2. The manufacture is of a very high standard and is all the plastic and moving parts are robust, and the steel blades are sharp and also robust. 3. The effectiveness of use is consistent across a wide range of foodstuffs - soft, squishy, ripe tomatoes through to tough, thick sweet potatoes, turnips and cleriac; hard leafy cabbage to soft leafy lettuces; dense winter squashes and softer, summer squashes; onions, leeks, fennel and shallots; apples, pears, bananas and mangoes. Quality. When I watch adverts promoting American household items the main 'selling point' usually seems to be "time saving". Well, I live in rural France and, although I am British, I love cooking in the French-style. Quality and consistency are the critical success factors in French cuisines, not speed or convenience, and here is where I see the outstanding benefit of Brieftons Quickpush Chopper. The shape, size and consistency of chop, irrespective of the foodstuff, is fantastic - far superior than anything I can manage with my best Sabatier-K knife. (And, by the way, in a fraction of the time!!) I have been surprised and delighted by something I bought initially as an 'extra bit of kitchen kit', primarily to help my otherwise non-cooking partner, when they do make an effort to rustle-up a "spag-bol" or veggie casserole. This 'extra bit of kitchen kit' has rapidly turned into 'an essential bit of kitchen kit' and could well be putting some of my Sabatiers out of work! I strongly recommend the Brieftons QuickPush Chopper. PS - The Brieftons Spiralizer is fantastic as well!

I have used a similar product in the past (the first nicer dicer that came out). We were thinking about getting a new nicer dicer as the old one was not so great anymore-bent blades etc. Decided to go for this lower priced one instead after seeing how highly rated it is on Amazon. So glad we did as it does work really well, the 3 sizes of blades are great for different applications, and I like the big container, as can chop many ingredients for a single dish into it before emptying, or just make the recipe in there such as a salad or a sauce. It is relatively easy to clean, and has a little tool to clean between the plastic teeth (or between the blades if anything gets stuck). The blades are sharp enough to also slice through tomatoes, although the small blade would mash it a bit. Overall it makes dicing much faster, and generally easier and is great for dices salads, salsas, diced veg for steaming or roasting, and many other things.

Very good , saves loads of time.

It's pretty decent. I've enjoyed speeding up chopping veg. What I will say though is the blades it comes with aren't very small so if you want something diced quite small then this won't do that. The pieces on the smallest blade are still quite big. Also the smallest blade it comes with is a flipping pain with onions/pepper. The skin gets stuck and you have to use SO much force to close the lid down that you think it's going to break. Soft veg it's great with though. You'll have to cut onion up more into smaller chunks which I guess sort of defeats the purpose but I still like it and will continue to use it because at the end of the day it's still less chopping than I would have done. Easy to clean I think.

Received Breiftans QuickPush food chopper. Started using it. Chops very well. Definitely speeding up my food prep time.

This chopper suits my needs. It is easy to handle and to clean. I have had choppers before that were too hard to use but so far this one has done the job with little effort. I have arthritis in my hands and the way this chopper is designed means that any stress points are in the palm of my hand and away from the thumb joint. The way the leverage works means that it doesn't take much effort to chop food. It is a good size for storage in a small kitchen. The compartment under the blades comes with a lid so I can chop ahead and store in the 'fridge. It is economical enough that someone like me can afford to have some of the convenience of expensive food processors. An added benefit that I didn't expect-- it came while I have the flu. Not wanting to stand in the kitchen and cook I had been making due with ramen noodles. I just used the chopper to quickly fix a nice vegetable meal and clean up after. I foresee that this device will lead to healthier dining even when I am not feeling so good. A note about the sellers... they seem to have a real interest in the outcome of their product and have made available recipe books and other informative ebooks about the health benefit of natural foods. I haven't had any problems with their products but I get the sense that if I did they would be friendly and approachable. I was just going to add that I was chopping some medium sized red salad potatoes. It was really easy to chop the whole potato without pushing very hard at all. The only time this chopper seems to hang up is when any part of the item bulges over the plastic surrounding the blade grid I tended to get discouraged until I looked close and determined that all it needed was a little trim. I like this device a lot. I had a nice potato soup that day. Another add on. Yesterday I made short work on four large onions. I quartered them so they would fit on the grid and chopped away. It was the fastest easiest onion chopping I could imagine. I make a big batch of soup and this particular chore is one reason I put off doing it. Not such an objectionable deal now.

Chops pretty much everything. Such a time saver

I have been using this chopper since 1 month and I'm really happy with it, I tried another one before and since it had a lot of stuff I wasn't satisfied. This one instead it's easy to use, have multiple sizes that fit perfect common needs but does one thing and does it well, I used it to keep our most used vegetables before frozen them.

Anyone with arthritis in their hands needs something easy to use and easy on the wrists. The Quickpush Food Chopper fits the bill nicely. Sturdy and simple to use and clean. Highly recommend it.
