I have used Uvistat sun cream for almost 40 years, since I first heard of it. In those days it was factor 10, and now I use the higher factors, but they all work - it just means you don't have to apply it as often when you use a high factor - that's the only difference with the factor numbers. With red hair and fair, sensitive skin, this is the only sun cream that works for me. I have fried in various famous brands, and now I don't try anything else. When a sun cream works, you actually feel it blocking the sun, as it blocks the heat too and your skin immediately feels cooler when you put it on. You know when you need to reapply, because you can feel when it stops working. I have used Uvistat on all my children, from when they were tiny babies. Don't get it too near your eyes, but it tells you that. I have never had sunburn since I started using Uvistat. Before I discovered it, I couldn't go out in the sun at all, without getting burnt. This sun cream changes your life if you burn easily. It's like a miracle!

Product arrived very promptly. This is the first time I’ve tried this factor 50 so it’s difficult to fully review but my impression is that this is quite a clinical product and probably does it’s job very well but if you’re looking for a cosmetic under make up factor 50 this might not be quite for you. It’s very thick and leaves you looking very pale!

I have been a fan of uvistat sun protection for many years. I only ever used it for my children and they never had sunburn. I didn't realise it was still available, but I'm very pleased. Applies well. Not greasy. No overpowering scent and it's british made.

Very thick; very white on the face; doesn’t spread

Bought because my husband has a skin complaint and suffers if in sun .We not had much sun yet but hubby was protected from the sun we have had .Would recommend .

Recommended widely by skin specialists as one of the best available and at a decent price. Has top end protection ratings for UV-A and UV-B. However, the cream is thick and heavy and leaves a greasy white residue. Better than skin cancer though!
