I needed something to monitor the glycol temperature and my boiler system. This is a very easy set up easy to use app and it works as well as I had expected. You just have to keep in mind in order for the battery to last as long as it does, it does not give you Constant real time temperature readings. It just waits for fluctuations before Checking. You can set it to monitor every five minutes 10 minutes half hour pretty much whatever you would like but if the temperature is a 180° for a half an hour, it will not report a change because it didn’t change. That’s how it saves battery Life Other than that it is a fantastic product.

I'm using this with a Yolink temperature sensor in a hot tub, so that I am alerted if power goes out during freezing temperatures. Very easy to set up, temperature sensor was easy to calibrate for accurate readings, works perfectly for this purpose.

I purchased this about 18 months ago to monitor water temperature of our (unheated) pool and it's worked flawlessly. The app is basic, but easy to setup and configure notifications. The original battery still shows 75% capacity after 18 months of continuous use. The case is left out in the rain and full southern California sun. The Homebridge-YoLink plugin has also worked perfectly — allowing easy review of the temperature, as well as triggering automations in Apple HomeKit.

This stuff is awesome. The app, the hardware, etc all just work. I have two temperature sensors outside, both have two walls in between them and the base station; one is about 15 yards away and the other is closer to 35 yards away. They both are very solid, and the app (on Android) makes a great graph with nice options for time periods etc. like I said, it just works.

I use these in a couple of different ways and they have been extremely useful. For my pool and hot tub, I mount the sensor under the skimmer cover and let the probe dangle into the water. That lets me see the water temperature at a glance, and I can set alerts so when I am heating the hot tub, I get notified when it reaches the temperature I want. The sensors are not fully immersed, but they have held up well to outdoor exposure. I did have one instance where water got inside a sensor, but after cleaning it out, it started working again without issue. I also use one in my pool filter shed with the probe attached directly to the filter motor. After having a pump fail to prime once and overheat, this has been a great safeguard. I now get an alert if the motor temperature goes too high, giving me time to shut it down before damage occurs. For monitoring temperature and getting timely alerts, these have been very effective and reliable for my use cases.

Worked great while it worked. Used it for lake temperature monitoring. I put it in August 8th 2025 on on Sept 11th 2025 it started reading -40 degrees F permanently. No visual damage to the unit. So it worked for almost a month.

First off we have been trying to find a pool monitoring system for water temperature for the past 8 years we have living in this home with a pool. I tried Bluetooth, Wireless models with a remote screen, and a few other solar powered ones with a large display. I stumbled across YoLink and I can't tell you how well this system is working. I did have an issue with the Hub going offline a few times an hour, which was more annoying than anything else, but Mike at Tech support helped me through it then finally just shipped out a replacement hub, which has been online without fail for over a week now. The water sensor is accurate as well as storing historical data so I can see when the pool has finally reach a comfortable temp to use. With the Hub I can get this information from anywhere as it is a cloud connected device. Great product and technical support all the way around!

Sensor and hub work brilliantly, easy setup, excellent range and battery life. Integrates with home assistant easily and YoLink app works well. Unfortunately US and UK devices are incompatible, which wasn't mentioned before purchase, so importing YoLink from Amazon US is best avoided. Sadly it appears a UK/EU version of the weatherproof temperature sensor isn't available yet.
