Does anyone know the Chlorine content (in %) of the shock granules?

For a typical 1000l tub does can anyone advise how long the tub would be out of action for ? Is this more effective than non chlorine shock ? Thanks

Only a day at the max. You can shock the pool in the evening and you can swim the next afternoon.

Yes but the amount required will depend upon the volume of water. Mix the shock dose in a bucket of warm water, start the filter pump and pour the mixture into the pool at various points. Leave the pump running for at least 6 to 8hrs initially during which time you should see the water begin to clear. If the pool is badly affected more than one treatment may become necessary. The dead algae will collect on the bottom of the pool and the should be vacuumed to waste. Hope this helps.
