This is a great tool for hand edging yards and garden areas. Seems sturdy and worked well! I am tall and could use a couple inches added to the length of the handle but it is fine.

I love this edger! Pros: No assembly No gas No fumes No vibration No noise Simple to use Easy to use Great quality materials and design Provides a good authentic workout Cons: More human energy expended to compensate for the benefit of "no gas fumes" Not easy for extremely overgrown edges Probably not best for enormous lawns, unless you really love getting your workout by edging It's super simple and easy to use. I had my lawn professionally mowed and edged when I first moved in, and then started using this along with the Fiskars Reel Mower linked here: Fiskars Staysharp Max Reel Mower, 18-Inch . The edger is simple to use. You just put it flat against the driveway, sidewalk, or edge and then you stomp down on it like a shovel, so that it goes straight down... perpendicular to the ground. Then you rock it a bit back and forth and move on down the line of the edge you are making, repeating that motion. This motion will cut the weeds/grass off in a straight line, and then it's super easy to go back and pick up the edged debris from between the clean line of the lawn and the driveway, sidewalk, or edge. I love that there are no gas fumes to hurt the environment or my lungs, and that I get an authentic little workout in every time I edge the lawn (I've never liked the gym!). This product is simple, easy to use, and employs the great design and quality that Fiskars is known for. I am a new fan of their lawn tools and I am proud to say my lawn is 100% human powered, thanks to Fiskars great products! I highly recommend this one.

I purchased this to give my garden beds a nice clean edge. The Fiskars Steel Edger Lawn Tool is easy to use, but if you're on the petite or light side, you'll need to put some weight on the tool to get it into the grass. As someone who has other Fiskars yard tools, I'm hoping this tool is as durable as the other tools I own. The handle could've been designed better, but the tool is sturdy overall.

I have long admired the sharp, defined lines in landscaping and gardens that my friends have. I was told that this tool was the answer. Indeed it is! This edger is so easy to use, and gives such satisfying results. I love mine so much. The results around my yard are really nice to look at, and by creating the edged borders it helps prevent weeds from creeping into my planting areas as much as they otherwise would. The only complaint I might have is that I wish it was a longer length overall. I'm nearly 6 feet tall, so I have to bend over quite a bit to use this. A longer one would be better for my back. Other than that, I love this tool.

Simple to use, Study design.

My garden beds were overgrown and needed to be reshaped. I'm new to gardening and didn't know what to do so I did what I do best - research. Based on reviews and videos I decided to give this a try. I was so excited to have found something I could hardly wait for it to arrive. I used it as soon as it arrived. It DID NOT disappoint. It was quick and efficient. It made reshaping the garden beds so easy I wish I had more to do. It is easier to do if the ground is wet. Now if I only had someone to pick up after me. The cleanup is what took some time.

I broke the handle on this the very first day I used it. There is a tree not so near the edge of the road and ended up needing to edge through a root no bigger than the thickness of my finger. I gave it a solid thump using my foot on the tread and both hands on the handle, and it just snapped like nothing. I've never had issues getting a broken tool replaced by Fiskars in the past, so I wasn't worried about it other than the inconvenience of having to wait to finish the job. It took a couple weeks, but the new edger showed up without issue. I handed off the job to my nephew and he knew all about the fragility of the handle. Of course he did the exact same thing, except he wasn't even trying to cut through a root. There are none in the area he was working in. I wasn't about to go through returning it again, so I had my neighbor weld a metal bar onto it, which is how a garden tool should come in the first place. (At least a wooden handle) So buyer beware. You should not experience any problems getting a replacement if you do end up breaking the handle, but make sure it's worth the hassle of waiting for a replacement if it does happen. Pros: Light, Ergonomic Cons: Fragile

Well made and easy to use.

This is a perfect tool for soil, but if it's rocky don't expect it to last past your project. Was surprised that it wasn't more durable with the fiskars brand name.

It tipped over while it was leaning on the shed and the handle shattered. This happened maybe 2-3 days after receiving. Hadn't even used it. I've had garden tools fall plenty of times and never had an issue
