Humorous indeed
There will never be another Twain. While in some cases, it is a bit more challenging to relate to the subject matter, such as in the story of the Civil War "soldiers" or the searing criticism of James Fenimore Cooper (but still worth a chuckle or two), for the most part Twain's stories are timeless and his works will always stand against the great writers of any age. Makes me proud to be an American.

Lost interest after the 1st story. Too many details. Stick to his full length stories.

Exactly what I needed
Bought this to go w an English and History unit I’m teaching next year. My teen decided to read a good chunk of it this summer! Mark Twain is timeless!

Interesting
Interesting that something can be witty and humorous with no profanity. Will the pendulum swing back again? Enjoyed reading these stories again.

Always a pleasure to read Twain and this slim marvel does the trick. Great stories make a great gift to those unfamiliar with his work and could use a nice "easin' into."
