Predator Calling With Gerry Blair [Blair, Gerry] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Predator Calling With Gerry Blair Review: Very Informative - I got this book because it was mentioned in a magazine article I had read & it was better than I expected. I learned a lot about nearly all aspects of predator calling including general information about the different animals you can "scream" to, equipment used, gun selection, and hunting strategies. Generally, the hunting stratgies & stories take place in the deserts of Arizona (the author lives there after all), but in my mind, the information provided can be transferred into most situations you would find yourself calling in. This is a very easy, very entertaining read and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in this topic. Review: packed with info - this book has lots of info and found it good, my only thing is in places it was a little confusing do to the auothers use of slang words and terminology sometimes left you going back and trying to figure out what he was talking about. I would still give this book a buy.

This is the best book on the market for Predator Callers
This is the best book on the market for Predator Callers. The writing is entertaining as well as informative and the numerous photographs are exceptionally good. (Any errors on the cover are the fault of the publisher, not Gerry Blair, who knows what fluorite and peridot look like!) Gerry died September 18 and I miss him terribly. His wife, Beverly Blair

Great vendor to purchase from. Predator Calling is not just for hunters.
This book was an addition to our remote cabin library. The area has a thriving coyote and wolf population, and this book gives great insight into the behaviors and calls of these creatures.

More then what was expected.
This book is absolutely great! Being new to the sport of Predator hunting I decided to "get educated" on the subject first, and this book tells you everything you need to get started. Way more then just tips on calling in predators this book has everything from gun caliber, to camouflage and beyond. I would highly recommend this book, and cant wait to put the knowledge I've gained into action.

Good beginer's book
This book takes you through the basic steps of what you need and can expect in predator calling. The authors knowledge of the subject is very good. He covers the basics of reed calling and electronic calling as well. Great starter book.

My first instinct was to give it a five because it is so loaded with the perspectives of an old-time predator hunter and the pictures are the best you will find anywhere
No question about it, this book is a tough, tough read. Still, there is a ton of information between the covers if you can get through it. My first instinct was to give it a five because it is so loaded with the perspectives of an old-time predator hunter and the pictures are the best you will find anywhere. My second thought was to give it a one, because it is also loaded with grammatical errors, sentence fragments, repeated information over and over again, and a writing style which wanders all over the place. I won't go into more detail but suffice to say I would buy the book again and I would grit my teeth and get through it again.

Gerry Blair is one of the guys that invented and refined predator calling as it exists today. Superb book and good info and stories about how things go down on a predator hunt. Good advice on calls, guns, loads, etc. This should be your introduction if you're getting into predator hunting.
