Goodbye, Eri

10/10 for this masterpiece! I read it in one sitting as it's not overly long. I had to keep going back to previous pages to read the panels again because of how subversive his style is (in a good way). There's so much interpretation with the dialogue and story flow. I was honestly blown away by how brilliant this was! After reading it I just sat there and pondered life for a little while, a sort of bittersweet feeling, amongst other emotions. Highly recommend!

Fujimoto’s talent for pacing and visual rhythm absorbs you completely, making it impossible to stop reading. Just when you think you’ve grasped the story’s direction, it pulls the rug from under you—again—leaving you breathless, uncertain, and deeply moved. The emotional weight is incredible, layered through themes of loss, memory, and the desire to create something lasting. This isn't just a manga—it's a conversation about life and death, about how we tell stories to cope and connect. Goodbye, Eri needs to be adapted into an anime film or limited series. Its structure is tailor-made for the screen, and the impact it would have with sound, motion, and score would be nothing short of profound. Until then, this manga stands as one of the most unforgettable one-shots I've ever read. An absolute must.

Goodbye Eri, and Look Back is Fujimoto's best books by far, I don't want to spoil any of this but genuinely this book made me cry and after reading it I felt a feeling of sadness knowing there wont ever be a second volume but I think that's what's so perfect about it because I think having another volume would ruin it even thought I want one, this is my favourite book of all time and no one can change that (Please if you want to read something like this buy Look Back, i thought it was about some kid making just a random comic but its so much more, it also has its own movie aswell) there is a crease on the book in the image i sent but it did not come like that it was because i had it in my bag

Good story, probably one of the best one-shot manga ive read and the book came in good condition.

1st manga ive read, has a few funny parts in it too, this manga will make your head do backflips tryna figure everything out, but its great!
