With this video book, you'll learn how to instantly find any picture in your library, fix common photography problems, clean up your images, add pop to boring pictures, retouch portraits, make gorgeous prints, create photo books, and even edit your home videos. Tony goes beyond teaching you how to use Lightroom. Tony shows you why and when to use each feature to create stunning, natural photos. When Lightroom isn t the best tool, Tony suggests better alternatives. Combining the benefits of video training and book learning, this video book gives you over 14 hours of video and dozens of free presets and raw images to practice with. If you learn better with video, watch the video training and refer to the book for quick reference. If you prefer reading, the book is concise and practical, and each chapter links to relevant videos when you want to understand a topic more deeply or see it used in the real world. Tony covers every aspect of Lightroom in-depth, but structures his teaching Review: Good intrduction to Lightroom - My photo collection now extends to 35000+ photos and I decided it was time to find a better cataloguing solution. Lightroom gets good reviews and the built in simple editing abilities appealed since most edits to my pictures are just crops and exposure; I already own Photoshop elements, but didn’t find this a quick program to use for simple editing. After buying Lightroom 6 and installing it I decided I need some instruction in its use. Having looked around I decided to purchase this book based on the good reviews, normally I buy the physical book, but the e-booked seemed such good value I thought I would give it a try. I started to read the e-book on my laptop and was surprised how useful the video links were. I like the fact you can watch the video and then pause it while you try the same thing in Lightroom on your computer. Tony’s presentation style is very good and easy to watch, casual and chatty, but he seems to be enjoying himself and doesn’t get overly technical. He covers a lot of ground quickly and you acquire good overview of what the program can do. After a while I found myself watching the videos and then going back to read the book later. Review: Another stunning book. Well worth it. Wish I had bought it before. - I have been using Lightroom for over a year and wish I had bought this book before. In the first 5 minutes I picked up some really great tips. As the saying goes 'you don't know what you don't know'. I really like the video content embedded. Practical examples I find so useful and it helps keep interest. I bought Tony's Stunning Digital Photography which I really liked in book form. I got the Kindle version this time around which I recommend and prefer. Using my ipad I click on the links which opens the videos which was so much easier than scanning from the book. A great book and they also have weekly shows which are also well worth a watch.

Good intrduction to Lightroom
My photo collection now extends to 35000+ photos and I decided it was time to find a better cataloguing solution. ... is actually quite a complex program and a book like this is almost essential in understanding the various features
Lightroom has a deceptively simple looking interface which can hide the fact that it is actually quite a complex program and a book like this is almost essential in understanding the various features. The book has text advice, but the main meat of the book is a series of video links to various subjects. The videos are quite well presented and give clear information on the software ( as the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words). Only slight drawback is that some of the videos are quite lengthy and if you are only trying to access one particular piece of information it can take a while. On the whole, this is a useful book for any lightroom user.

Excellent on its own, and an absolute steal with the included video tutorials!
I first came across Tony Northrup by chance on a YouTube bounce flash tutorial. I immediately warmed to the relaxed and informative presentation style, and was pleased to discover that there were several books available, both in paper and ebook formats. The books themselves, in kindle format, cost little more than a single edition of a typical photography magazine. Definitely better value for money on their own, but coupled with the access to a continually growing collection of video tutorials, probably one of the best ways to learn and use Lightroom or digital photography. I totally agree with another reviewer: buy the kindle version and click on the links to the tutorials as you read.

A Real "Must Have" for those Using Lightroom 6
Not only has this proven great in helping me get to grips with using my Lightroom program, it is proving to be an invaluable aid in helping me develop my photographic skills generally by explaining in pretty simple terms how to make use of things like my histogram in my digital camera. An absolute must for those wanting to produce good quality photos that may need to be enhassed after they have been downloaded onto the computer from the camera

Excellent Purchase
Have learnt so much from the combination of the book and the videos. The Northrups make things clear and the difference a little editing has made to my photographs has been wonderful. I have also enjoyed participating in the closed Facebook group that the purchase of the book gives you access to. Other amateur photographers sharing opinions and photos. I would highly recommend purchase of this book.

Excellent
Brilliant guide for any individuals who are learning the application and the very easy to follow. I use them anytime when I stuck while using Lightroom for any reason. Thank to Tony and Chelsea, especially Tony for the step by step guidance. Confidently recommend for any beginners as well as for the intermediate users.

Has errors
Not the quality I expected. The information and videos are excellent. But there are a lot of the screen grabs/ illustrations are not readable on either my Samsung or IPad tablets. The company sent me a PDF file which all the problems are sorted with. But again, the links to the videos don't work. The company claim the problem is with the quality of the Amazon download. I don't want a refund because there is a lot for the money. But not without errors.

Well Done!
I downloaded the Kindle version of this book and I like that I can read AND watch the videos that come with the book! The link to the videos was a little confusing to access. First you have to register your purchase and then you get an email stating you now have access to the online videos. Once on the website, I kept getting an error message that I didn't have access but I clicked on another link on the page and was able to see all of them. The videos are not boring! They are well-made and Tony is easy to watch and goes through every feature of Lightroom. I've learned so much about the program already and while watching on my Kindle I have Lightroom loaded on my computer and I can stop the videos and practice what I just learned! I like reading the book, but I get so excited about something I just read that I keep running to my computer to try it out. So the videos are great for me but the book is a great reference and has lots of detail. This has been a great investment and I have already gone back to re-do some photos that I adjusted previously while experimenting on my own. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to learn Lightroom but thinks it may be too advanced.
