110" Extra Wide Baby Gate Retractable Dog Gate for Large Openings, Gray

This gate is a great value and feels strong to hold back a couple heavy puppies! It’s easy to install and very easy to operate. This is my second and I’m very pleased.

Good quality retractable gate. We had a solid plastic expandable one but the dogs learned to climb it (we have yorkies) so needed something that was a barrier but also not str9ng enough to support their body weight. This works perfectly. I will say it was a nice bonus to have them include floor clips to secure the bottom if needed. My only complaint would be that the clips are screw in or permant 3m sticking. Wpuld be awesome to see a redesign that comes with suction cups so you dont have to permanently damage the floor to have them part of the process. As such we cant really use them. Other side point is that ive found over the years on the side that accepts the gate clips, you need to install wood backing or drill directly into a stud. The wall anchors simply dont hold and rip out of the drywall after only a day or two. Being handy this wasnt much of an issue for me but it may be an issue for someone who doesnt have tools handy. This isnt a knock on the product itself though as this is just an issue with type of gate in general. The tension caused by the mechanism to keep the gate tight puts alot of force on the wall clips.

Works great, easy to install

I only knocked off one star because the gate is not as tall as advertised. Otherwise its pretty good. The net panel measures 31" and the overall height of the entire unit rolled up is 33". My dog is BIG and I would have preferred the advertised height. Luckily, she does respect most barriers pretty well so this works for us. Installation is easy enough but we took extra care in locating studs so it took a bit longer to align both sides while doing so. I would not want this installed with drywall anchors, especially the ones provided. Shoe moulding at the bottom of baseboard kept us from being able to sit the unit flat on the floor so its raised about a half inch making the net about an inch and a half above the floor. The spring that retracts the net is STRONG so tension is good enough that we don't need to use the lock at all when its extended and hooked. Dog did try to charge through once and it was plenty strong enough to stop her. If it was the height stated I would have given it 5 stars. It seems sturdy enough installed into wood. Hope it lasts a while.

I have waited almost a year to write a review on this gate bc I wanted to wait to see how it actually held up. I can honestly say this is the best. Also wanted to see how the plastic attachments and hooks for the end of the gate held up through the Wisconsin winter. This thing has stood the test of time. It withstood 10 inch snow falls, ice storms temps in the -20’s, and wind gusts over 80mph. It gets opened and shut every day. It blocks my backdoor steps to the fence so the dogs don’t run out into the street as I live on a busy corner lot. One time during one of the ice storms, it was frozen, but a couple jerks on the handle and it released itself so that I could pull it out to use it! I haven’t had to use the lock on this one for the dogs bc they see it and don’t bother to try and push through it. I have the smaller one on the front porch and I do lock that one when I’ve had the grand babies and that one also has held up and we haven’t had any issue with it. Was super easy to install and had fear that the plastic clips would break with shoveling and with the below 0° temps and it has been a blessing! Oh and these gates are totally exposed to the elements. We have no overhangs, just open porches with railing and a fence. Would definitely recommend this product 110 percent!

Easy to install. Bought to close off steps on our deck. I have a cat that likes to go out on it, but we have 15 steps and he wants to go down into the yard. Since he has no front claws I don't let him out. I can pull this across easy and it retracks easy. This allows me to have full views when it is retracted without a bulky heavy gate system.

Update to 3 stars: Shortly after review, seller contacted me and offered a full refund. It is obvious they care about customer satisfaction. Excellent customer service is hard to come by at times, so this says a lot about a seller/company. Although it didn’t work out for us, I hope it works out for others. Either way, they’ll be working with a great seller. Original review (1 star): We wanted to love this product. Unfortunately, in less than a month of light use, the top c-shaped “hook” where it latches broke. Now, the product is not secure or safe. We can no longer use it as it was intended—to safely keep our toddler in a safe space. We were willing to look past the fact the mesh material was never taught, even when smoothed and locked (it sagged in the middle). However, now with this, we are disappointed that we threw the box and packaging away. Otherwise, this would definitely return this product due to poor quality and durability.

We bought this to replace a baby gate we’d been using to keep our dogs out of the bedrooms so they don’t do their business on the carpet. It’s perfect! Easy to use and it’s perfect.

En general es muy bueno, pero mi perrita encontró la manera de salirse por debajo, aunque estaba a nivel de piso. Por lo que costó, si me habría gustado que hubiese estado más resistente en ese aspecto.
