Great cd love it

All good and well Cd looks almost like new and plays really well on cd, arrived very promptly and well packaged and undamaged by Music Magpie as reliable as ever. Adele's 21 album has some of her best music on it. Rolling in the Deep is the one I bought this for but am not disappointed with any of the tracks an the album, all have well written lyrics. which give a very classy sound kind of 50's60ish feel in places with solid vocals from Adele and real good musical production standards mean an excellent listen. Well worth the price.

Well, I'm sold. I originally bought 21 from sister's Wish List as a Xmas present. Thought I'd play it before I wrapped it. Played it again. And again. And again. Ended up buying my own copy! Obviously I'd heard the big singles on the radio but was still a bit sceptical. Been recommended by X Factor-watching colleagues which made me even more sceptical. Was expecting the album to be a few hit singles padded out with filler from a 'writing by numbers' songwriting team. How wrong! Radio or iPod can't do justice to the power of that voice, and the songs ARE Adeles own, with a bit of help admittedly, but you can tell that the WORDS are hers. So much more heartfelt than singing the hired hands impersonal ones. There's no filler, and just one cover version, The Cure's 'Love Song' - as old as the girl herself, which just about works, though not as well as the cover from 19 (Bob Dylan's 'Make You Feel My Love'). I subsequently bought 19 which is a little disappointing in comparison to it's successor. Taken in context it's still a mighty fine debut but the leap to 21 is so much more than a couple of years. The prospect of following it up is daunting. It took Michael Jackson 5 years to follow Thriller with Bad; Pink Floyd somehow managed to follow Dark Side of the Moon with Wish You Were Here in half that. Arguably neither are as mind blowing as their predecessors but they're damn close. I wish Adele well for 23. Or 24.

Sometime, something just appears out of the blue and grabs you by the short and curlys, I first heard a track (Rolling in the Deep) on Radio 2, whilst on holiday over the Christmas period, and missed the title by the DJ. The melody stayed with me over the whole of the following week and drove my wife nuts until we got home. I googled what I thought was maybe the title '....we could have had it all ahh ahh....' and up it sprang, watched a couple of vidoes on youtube and checked out some of the other tracks and I was hooked. Adele has a wonderful expressive voice, with lots of depth, this is replicated throughout the whole album with some great songs of angst for love and love lost. The production is brilliant, maintaining the soulful mood throughout. A massive step forward from her '19' album of a couple of years ago and if she continues to progress in this way, she is already showing great potential to be a fantastic, Original Singer / Songwriter who will be around for a long long time. I don't think there is a duff track on the whole album, Buy it now and you won't be disappointed.

What can you say about Adele? These are great songs if you are a fan. Great music.
