A necessary but effective way of dealing with small rodents.
These are traditional rodent traps. They work well as long as you take a few simple steps. Place them where the rodents are likely to have an established run. Don't handle the traps too much. This is to ensure they won't have too much human scent on them. Use a bait that is tricky to remove. I found that pieces of a sticky caramel sweet worked well. Finally, try to set the trap so that the slightest thing will set it off. These little rodents are light footed. I noticed droppings on the bench in my garage and felt I had to set traps to protect valuable material. These traps have been very effective, while I am working on preventing the rodents from getting in at all. I would show a photo of both traps being successful (you know what I mean) but it would breach the community guidelines.

Efficient mouse killer and good value for money.
A bit fiddly to set so keep your fingers clear of the mechanism! The last two winters I’ve had a problem with mice getting into my kitchen. Having used humane traps in the past, I decided that it was time to be brutal and get rid of the little bastards for good. Bought 4 traps and set them with peanut butter. Delighted to have caught 7 mice in the first 24 hours.

Brilliant traps but read this to get best results
We had a load of mice coming through from next door where they have an excess of bird seed on the floor which attracts them, they've already chewed through some wiring so I wanted them gone. Where there is one mouse there will be loads more. The first step to setting these up properly is to use the right bait. The mice can easily remove the bait from the treddle if it's not secured so I suggest getting some cheerios as the first step. Then you'll want some superglue. Glue to cheerio to the treddle over the little pin and then glue another cheerio or two to the first one. Make sure they are well attached and then set your trap keeping your fingers out of the way as it will really hurt if it catches you. Then put your trap out and make sure it's covered as you don't want a bird or cat getting snapped in it. Check the trap every day and I guarantee you'll have a mouse in there, The bait will be gone as subsequent mice can obviously take it off without triggering the trap as it's already gone off. The other mice wont care about the dead body in the trap at all. I've caught two at a time this way as they both struggle to get the bait off the treddle they will trigger the trap. You may find the trap is gone when you go to look for it as a cat or a fox will take the whole lot if it finds it.

If you're okay with 1 for the price of 2 and have a lot of patience, it might be worth it
Only 1 of the 2 mouse traps was okay; the rod for the other was too short so would never have been able to set it. It eventually broke. Mouse ate the bait within 10 minutes; no mouse caught in 2 weeks. I complained to the seller and got a favourable response. Alas, a little after 2 weeks, the good one of the 2 traps caught a mouse - no bait was used. I set the trap again and with no bait, as we saw signs that there was at least 1 other mouse. Another one was not caught until a few weeks later - 27 July 2013. I again set the trap with no bait. Within 30 minutes, I thought I heard a sound. Went to check and interestingly a 3rd mouse. I hope there is no more. I don't see the reason for multipack items that include defective ones; afterall products should be quality checked. If the seller can rectify this negative and provide 2 traps (NOT just 1) without defect, it should be worth buying the product. To the seller, thank you for resolving the issues raised with my purchase favourably.

Traditional traps that work well
I had mice visiting my garden shed and nibbling stored plant bulbs. I set two traps, bated with small cubes of cheese. I caught 3 mice within four days. End of problem !

Do not work
Not fit for purpose. One of the two is impossible to set as it just falls back off the arm. The other we eventually managed to set, checked in the morning and the bait was gone but the trap hadn’t gone off.

Muy efectivos para esos ratoncillos de campo pequeños que se cuelan en los garajes, y que personalmente me dan mucha repulsión. Funcionan muy bien.

Terrible, mouse can just eat off the trap without going off. Tried several different types of bait

Only one of the traps was working, not worth the effort returning it...
