The Wealth of Nations: Books 1-3 (Penguin Classics)

Classic must have for anyone. Economics simply is the study of resource allocation and if you ignore that you’ll suffer the consequences of ignorance. Keep this beside your religious book and your medical book and you will be very, very educated.

Great book! Very solid hardcover.

Received on time in excellent condition, like new; I would definitely purchase from this retailer again. Though this is a special "Fingerprint" edition as a collectors item it can also be used as your textbook. Subject of book is very pertinent today in understanding a modern economy even though this book was originally written by a "moral" philosopher in ~1775 complied from his lecture notes. Comes with an introductory note helping one to understand how Adam Smith contstruted his philosohy of economics.

The book is beautiful but the edge of the pages are covered in silvery glitter that annoyingly separate too easily and make a mess.

Will look great on the shelf. Look forward to reading; could give some insight into our economy and economics today; though much has changed, basic principles remain.

Excellent book. A classic with lessons about our economy.

Adam Smith is still one of the most admired or vilified economic philosophers of our time. Liberals and conservatives should stop making blanket statements about him and this book because they are both wrong. This is a fascinating book even if its full application may be controversial in a modern economy. Still this book captures good economic ideas and bad economic ideas. It should be up to people to make their own informed judgement of this influential book, rather than ignorant politicians spouting nonsense about a book they have never read.

Collectable item along side one of the most important text written

Everything was great but the book cover was very dusty and that's a general observation in must of the items I get from amazon as it came well baked but the item itself covered with dust

Fundamental economy book, this autor was incredible. In XVIII and he had this vision of the economy. with a B2 in english you may not have any problemas to understand

The book is fascinating and hugely insightful. This edition is very well presented with relevant introductions and, unlike most "grown up" books, has a good size font which makes it pleasant on the eyes when reading. I highly recommend.
