How do you use the liner retaining hole?

I find that with many bin liners, the retaining hole is not needed. However, when a bag is a little bigger, I put it in place with the top over the rim of the bin and then push the excess into the hole so that the bag top fits neatly, before putting on the lid part of the bin. That ensures a secure fit of the lining so that it doesn't slip down when the bin is in use. It's a practical aspect of the design.

Can this be mounted on a cupboard door

No you can’t fix it to a cupboard door , I lifted the handle to hang but you wouldn’t be able to open the lid for scraping food into.

It says it comes with 4 x bin bags. Meaning 4 packets? Or just 4 bags?

It doesn't come with any bin bags. Stack 4 is the product name, all you'll receive is the caddy and the odour filter.

With the lid closed is it a sealed unit? Will flies / insects like ants etc ... be able to get in with the lid closed?

We are having a huge problem with fruit flies in the container.
