Note: Many people complaining about it not fitting, you have to remove a piece in order for it to fit in (I used the screw to just pull it out)Used two to extend a gate by 14cm, 7cm either side. 12 or 13cm would have been perfect, but not an option, it still has a tight fit and works very well. I screwed it into the wall instead of using the strips to stick it to the wall.I extended another gate by 7cm, but this was a little more difficult for me to install due to my staircase being exactly that width - meaning I had to leave out one of the (bottom) cups to screw into the wall. It is just as secure due to it barely fitting in.Good purchase. Has a tendency to feel cheap though, which might throw some people off.

The instructions could be better. Took me a while to work out how to install it.As others have reported you have to remove the plastic parts (where the bolts go) from the gate first.But even then I couldn't get the extension to fit into the gate.After I looked at the photo on Amazon I saw that the top and bottom plastic parts are different shapes so you have to get the extension the correct way up. Once I worked that out I was able to assemble it quite quickly.

We managed with just the normal gate for a while but our daughter was getting to the point it was at risk of not holding so we decided it was best to get the extension and spindle bolts to make it fit better.They were simple to fit and made the gate far more secure.

Perfect for a safety 1st gate all fitted as it should - I couldn’t get the bottom bolt in mind but didn’t really need it

Really easy to add these to the gates although the instructions could have been better as I thought at first I ordered the wrong extentions.
