Incredible Value, Incredible Results, Incredibly Easy to Install
This is the best! The kit was super easy to install, and once it's been stretched with the hair drier (I used a commercial heat gun but same results) it is completely transparent. There is literally no way to tell that this is on a window -- you see no reduction or degradation of the light coming through, and there is no distortion or blurring to give away that there's a plastic window sealer installed. It takes me about 30 minutes to install on two 70" windows and a third 35" window, including the time it takes to remove and replace the blinds. I would highly, highly recommend this easy-to-use and quality product!

Do it! So worth it.
Do it! The temp in my house has stayed steady. I noticed a difference with just two windows done the first night. My furnace is not struggling to keep it up to temp now. Easy to install with help. Managed it myself with no problems. One roll did six windows and they give you lots of tape.

Great for Stopping Drafts
I was a little nervous to install this myself, but it ended up being pretty easy. I took my time and moved slowly to make sure I did it correctly, and everything worked as expected. The box did arrive ripped, but I didn’t mind since all the pieces were still inside. It may have been a returned package, but it didn’t affect the product at all. The plastic sticks well to the adhesive, and when I used a blow dryer, it shrank just like it’s supposed to and became nice and tight. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my bedroom. There’s no longer a draft, and I don’t find myself turning up the heat as often. That alone makes this a huge win and a big plus for me!

Pretty simple installation
Instructions were pretty easy to follow. Did one window to test it out. I deviated a bit because I wanted the film inside the window sill verse on the outside of it. If it doesn't hold well I'll try it on the outside but so far so good. I used my basic blow dryer on high to heat the shrink film and that was sufficient. No need to pull put my heat gun. The film is sticking pretty well for now. Ive never used window insulation before so have nothing to compare it too. So for me as a novice, cutting was easy, measuring was easy, size was good. Long enough to fit a standard window. The quality was ok to me because it didnt tear or melt, even when I touched it with the blow dryer, attempting to smooth out the wrinkles. So far I like it. I plan on doing all my windows.

Does the trick for cold weather
Decent enough product, I do usually use this brand but found the tape hasn't been sticking too well. Plastic is very durable and visibility is fine. It has helped with heat loss during the winter, you really notice the difference in the rooms.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT ! IT REALLY WORKS !
This product is amazing and you will be asking yourself why you didn't get it sooner. My house is considerably warmer now with these insulation kits installed. THEY REALLY WORK ! I used a laser thermometer on my windows, before and after. I had a 3-6F degree temperature increase on average with the window film. I actually turned my thermostat down on my gas furnace by a few degrees which will make a huge difference in my bill over the entire winter. I have to admit, I was always skeptical about these, but they really do work. They aren't bad to install. All you need is a pair of scissors and a hair dryer. I got a good rhythm going and did 14 windows. I accidentally tore a hole in my first piece of film I cut. But you really can do 15 windows with it. First, I moved my curtains aside. Then I cleaned my windows and the frame with Windex. Next, this to me was the hardest part and that was putting the tape on. Separating the clear double sized tape from the white covering was hard for me because my nails are short. Once I did that, I folded the white cover part back about 1/4 inch forming a tiny tab, then placed the tape across the top of the frame. Then I did the the sides. And the bottom of the window last. I pulled the white cover tab I made off of each piece before moving on to the next section. So here's where I made my mistake on the first one. I accidentally unfolded the roll first. What you need to do is roll the plastic out as it is right from the roll without unfolding it. Measure your window across where the tape is and give an inch or two on either side. Then make your cut. Unfold the plastic and start placing it on the tape at the top. Then do your sides and follow up with the bottom. Now you're ready to shrink wrap it using your hair dryer. Set the hair dryer on the high setting and move the dryer across the film slowly. Keep it moving. Once the film heats up you will see the film start to shrink. Keep the hair dryer moving. Don't let it sit to long in once place or you could possibly burn a hole in the plastic. It helps to have a lot of light in the room to spot the wrinkles. They will all come out. Just be patient. And when you're done, it will look amazing ! Tight as a drum and just like a pane of glass ! I used this product along with painters tape to tape the seams of the windows and foam outlet covers to stop any drafts from coming in.

So-So. Tape is too thin and weak to hold for the winter
So-so. It's a great idea, but the provided tape is thin and becomes less sticky when cold... Like when it is getting blasted by the cold air from the window. My windows are very deep (~1 ft) and my bed lies right against the wall, so I have to install the plastic inside the 1 ft space. Works for the first few days, then gaps appear in the seal where the plastic pops off the tape, letting cold air jetstream out. I even double layered one of my windows, but the same problem persists.

• “Easy Install and Great Winter Protection”
I’m impressed with how well the Duck Brand Window Insulation Kit performs. The film is easy to cut, the tape adheres firmly, and installation was straightforward — just follow the steps and use a hair dryer to tighten the film. Once in place, it becomes nearly invisible and creates a tight seal that really blocks out drafts. Within a day, I could feel a difference in temperature near my windows, and my heating system doesn’t have to work as hard. It’s especially useful for older windows or rental spaces where you can’t fully replace the glass. You get enough material to cover up to 10 windows, which makes it a great value. Overall, this kit does exactly what it promises — keeps warm air in, keeps cold air out, and saves on energy costs. Highly recommended for winter prep.
