Being an avid pastel painter I just had to try these half-stick Faber Castells. They delivered.For the money it is a tremendous value-for-money and the colours themselves are vivid and clear.The pastels are soft - but not too soft - they bite the paper well and are easily blended.The 72 different colours are well-thought out and serve most needs in the field. Havs tried them outdoors and they came out trumphs.All in all a fantastic set - by a well-known manufacturer - you just can't go wrong.René

Very good, wide choice of colours (24) although I wish the greens had been a little more varied, bit on the light side for my style.Half sized pastels so easy to use without snapping, although this does mean that they are used faster and also you need 2 `swipes' if you use sideways where one swipe would have done with a full sized pastel. As you would expect with pastels your hands are going to get dirty, but I've found the residue very easy to wash off.Can be used with several different types of paper from ordinary ink jet A4 upward. Lots of dust and residue when using A4, I've found rough, 160 gsm paper works fine. Not had long enough to tell if colours are fugitive or not but they are very smooth to use and I've no reason to think they will not stay as fresh as any other pastel.

Purchased as a beginner to soft pastels, therefore, unwilling to splurge on superior product in case it was a total mis-spend. These pastels were incredibly well priced at £20 for 72 and offer a decent range of colours (apart from the light greys, which are quite 'muddy'). It's provided a great benchmark for deciding which colours I like to use and allowed for appropriate selection for the more pricey pastels. As I've loved the medium, I'll be requesting "grown up chalk" from Father Amazon this Christmas.I'd definitely recommend these for students taking GCSE art and beginners looking to see if they like using pastels. One recommendation - buy a more expensive white (bright and regular white), it makes a difference.

For me, these work better than some of the more expensive pastels but it really depends on your style. They blend really well and don't leave harsh lines which I love, yes they're small but it means you can get a wide range for a good price and can supplement the colours you use the most often with bigger sticks.

Love these pencils. They are very good for blending, I love how they flow across a page and can be used for a variety of projects. Very durable, and excellent value for money. A smooth soft finish if using on card and other project finishing touches. Also a good outline pencil.

J'essaye de me mettre à la pastel et me suis laissée tenter par ce coffret en solde (18,57€) et je ne regrette pas ! Beaucoup de couleurs proposées qui sont très belles et vives. Les pastels sont petites mais pas gênant pour moi. Elles ont l'air également solides car j'ai fais tomber le coffret de 30cm (je suis malheureusement très maladroite) et elles ont toutes tenues le choc même celle qui ont voltigées dans les airs. Hate de travailler plus amplement avec ces pastels !

ممتازة للمبتدئين والصغار ولكن تحتاج الى ورق خاص للرسم كورق كانسون اي يجب ان يكون خشن حتى يثبت اللون عليه الوانها جميلة وواضحة
