Bought for my daughter as she keeps asking to do cross stitching with me. This is perfect for her as the thread is thick. The holes are perfect for little hands. Lots of designs available for her to pick too

This little kit is petty good and child safe. It comes with kid friendly needles, yarn and cross stitch squares made of plastic. What let’s it down is the instructions. They seem only to be printed on the box and they are very basic. They don’t explain how to change colour, only how to carry out a stitch.

A bit difficult to use and especially for a child.

I bought this for my 4yo and 7yo so they have something to do while waiting for the other's swimming lesson to finish. My 4yo is slowly doing it (about 10 stitches before he gets bored and wants me to do it/wants a story/colouring). My 7yo can do it without my help and has completed 2 of the 6 kits in the last 2 months. He usually struggles to sit still for long periods of time unless he is watching tv, but he is really taken with it. Great screen-free activity. The patterns are on the back of the box (although 7yo finds it easier to look at the photo of the finished picture rather than the pattern). It would be great if a separate pattern was provided, but I cut the patterns off the box and keep the bits we need in a sandwich bag rather than taking the whole box out with us. Really like this kit and have just bought another kit for a friend's 9yo daughter.

Really not the best. Plastic grid with no pattern on and no real pattern to direct kids in doing this. Very poor instructions as to how to cross stitch. This is a very poor pack for beginners and someone who is into cross stitch wouldnt be interested in this pack.

Great little kit! My two youngest (7 and 5) wanted to learn cross stitch so I bought this thinking it would be a great starting point. It was! Comes with six individually packaged kits including a plastic grid and more than enough yarn in each. The box also contains two plastic needles. Each pattern is printed on the back of the box, I cut them out and put them with the kits. The only downside, and it isn't even really a downside, a couple of the colours aren't quite what they are on the pattern guides- the kids noticed it- but it's minor, what should be black is actually brown and one of the blues is more green. Also took me a minute to figure out the pattern for the grids but that didn't take long, just that it starts on the edge of the plastic sheet, not the first square inside. Pictures are one kit and my 7 year olds first try.
