Cheap and simple shame it's not metric
I gave the rough cast edges a little work with a fine file and now I'm happy using this for quick and simple work, great as a quick fence for running a circular saw along etc. As for 90 degrees? Well it's actually not terrible. Maybe a degree out? I have a decent woodworking square for proper accuracy. Can't really fault this one for the money and I don't expect millimetre accuracy on a very cheap casting - no millimetres marked on it anyway since it's in imperial.

Does some of the job
Firstly, I am a well seasoned (read old) DIY'er. I had need of a replacement decent (ie true) square to set up my new Evolution sliding mitre saw. After reading some blogs, stating that even quality (set) squares can be less than perfect, I thought I would try my luck with this one. Positives are that it is as close to true square as you could wish for. The markings are all recessed (not just painted) and initial testing suggests these too are accurate. I realize that these fast squares have specific purpose for some trades and from 'how to use guides' this device is missing the inner triangle incremental points. However the most significant negative for any user is that the whole this appears cast, including the markings, rather than etched. The result is that the edges are somewhat undulating. In other words when drawing a line along the edge, there is some line wobble. Now we are talking very small undulations, far less than would be observed across drawing a line on timber itself. I'm not a roofer, and this will serve my purpose well. It is of course very cheap.

A good rough angle guide and it’s SQUARE!!!
Given the reviews I checked to see if mine was square, as it is die-cast aluminium and coated with thick paint it is not a precision instrument but then that’s not what I bought it for. The False Square Test: The first photo is the square test and as you can see it’s a few millimetres out at the bottom. The reason for this is that it is resting on its back edge, however, it’s the front edge that is used as a square. The True Test: The second photo is that of the roofing square used on its front edge. The top line was done with the square over which I have drawn a line with the roofing square and there is no difference. The second line is with the roofing square and it is parallel. The roofing square is also parallel. There may be discrepancies in accuracy which may be corrected with some emery paper. I would have preferred centimetres but I bought it for the rough measurement of angles and it does the job well at a cheap price.

How did I manage without one!
Brilliant bit of kit. Solid, and accurate. No moving parts to slip or slide. There's no plastic parts to break. It will be forever in my toolbox.

Faithfull and True!
I bought the Faithfull square and also the Stanley 'speed square'. I have kept this one and had to return the Stanley as it just wasn't square (unlike this one). This product is excellent and the numerals and information can easily be read and most of all, it is in perfect true with no bends and rounded corners to throw-off your line. Superb value for money!

Isn't metric
should have looked more carefully at the picture - it is all set out in inches, not cm or mm. other than that, good cheap bit of kit great for marking up wood

Nice little square, robust and quick to use.
Bought this quick square when building my shed project. It's so easy to use and grab when you want to scribe and right angle or any angle required. I would recommend this quick square expecially if you have an ongoing project or even occasional use. Great value and very useful..

pollici

Be aware - inches, not cm
Nowhere in description does it mention that triangle is in inches. Only carefully examining the pictures can you notice that. Bad surprise.
