A beautiful seasonal wordless board book from an USSBY Outstanding International Books shortlisted author. This is one of a series of four books without text, which lead the young child through the seasons of the year. Full of fun, active illustrations, this chunky board book shows the joys of playing in leaves, flying kites and making jam. Review: Brilliantly captures the feel of autumn - Beautiful illustrations, really capture the essence of the season. My 3 year old has been carrying it around all day since it arrived! No words but the pictures have lots of little details to promote conversation. I will be buying the others in the series too Review: The best - I used to work in a bookshop and I have NEVER seen such a beautiful children’s book in my life! Beautiful illustrations and open-ended in a way that you can create your own stories and notice different things every time you go through it.

Lovely Book
An excellent book - our little one has all this series now and we spend lots of time looking at the detailed pictures and making connections to what is going on around her. A great point from which to initiate seasonal projects too - conker, leaf collecting and making kites in this case!

Lovely Book
My son picked this book up and said ooh a new book. He brought to me and we sat and looked at it together. He enjoyed looking at the pictures and explaining what was happening. There is a picture with two children having a bonfire, my son said they shouldn't play with fire mum. The only complaint I would say was 1- showing children playing with fire and 2- a child playing with a knife. Other than that a lovely book and I will probably get the other seasons.

Lovely
Lovely little book. Children ages 4 and under can enjoy the detailed pictures in this book. There are no words which is perfect because it really lets you make up a little story if you wish. Artwork is wonderful, I will be using it on our seasonal nature table.

Beautiful book illustrating some of the lovely things to enjoy in the Autumn season.
We purchased this book as a beautiful seasonal tool towards our Montessori/Waldorf influenced homeschooling that we are going to begin this year with our daughter. It is beautifully illustrated with portrayals of simple autumn scenes and activities such as collecting acorns, making things like pinwheels, sculptures and kites out of different materials from the home and from nature, walking in the rain, helping to cook with a parent, etc. There is no storyline, which makes it a great tool for building language skills such as using descriptive words, making inferences and general storytelling. I am really looking forward to introducing it to my daughter this fall and referencing it as we cook together, make sculptures, and collect acorns ourselves! It fits well with Waldorf and Montessori because of these things, but as it doesn't focus on any types of holidays, it can work well in homes of any religious or non-religious background, while some other books that are recommended for Waldorf schooling get complaints for being too Christian or too Pagan by different people. That being said, it is just a lovely book in general, and would be enjoyed by families doing any type of schooling (home/public/private) in any educational philosophy. I plan on purchasing the other books in the series for the next winter, spring, and summer seasons.

No words, just beautiful illustrations.
No words, just beautifully painted and carefully crafted illustrations that invite you to get creative and storytell. Therefore is great for babies as is for older kids. Each page shares a seasonal scene or two we talk about or play "I spy".

Bello e delicato
