SALON QUALITY KERATIN WITH PROFESSIONAL RESULTS. Brazilian Straight, Purple Treatment Kit, 1-3 APPLICATIONS, Hair Straightening/Blow Dry/Smoothing/Home Use/Frizz Free

I’ve used a few of these before with mixed results and the last one changed my hair colour so I was hesitant in trying a new one! I need not have been. So easy to use (especially compared to others I’ve tried) just washing your hair, drying it then putting the product on and making sure it’s brushed through fully. Leave it on for 20 minutes and blow dry. Takes a little longer to dry than usual but no nasty smoke. The product itself didn’t smell bad but did make my eyes sting a bit like onions. Just do it near open windows! After it’s dry just straighten it fully. Left my hair smoother and shinier than ever in my 50 years. Had to then keep it dry for three days which is fun living in Wales during winter..so when it got damp I dried and straightened again those parts as it says to. Finally made it to the day 3 and washed my hair eager to see whether it would hold..and a bit concerned that Welsh rain would have made it fail. No need to worry as it held beautifully! Usually I leave to dry naturally but I used a dryer this time, no extra products on it so I could see exactly how it was. Lovely and shiney, straight hair. My natural hair is ridiculously fluffy/curly so I am hoping my curls will show when I leave it to dry naturally but without the usual fluff and frizz. I recommend this!

I have very frizzy dry hair and I am quite astonished at the difference this product has made. It is like I have totally different hair! I did find it relatively easy to use and it took me about an hour and a half from start to finish. The smell is odd, a bit like strong coffee cake, but not unbearable. I think the main thing to remember is not to use too much of the product because you don't wash it off, you have to dry it onto your hair. The temptation is to slather a great deal on but you don't need to. I used about a third of the pot on my thick shoulder length hair and have excellent results, and enough product left to have two more goes (which means it works out surprisingly economical too). The worst bit about the application process is not being able to wash your hair for 72 hours afterwards and by day three my hair looked positively lank. The other important thing to remember is you must use Sodium Chloride free shampoo and conditioner afterwards otherwise you will strip out the Keratin treatment with every wash. Finding shampoo without Salt is virtually impossible on the high street (I spent an hour reading shampoo bottle labels in my local Superdrug) because the sodium is what makes shampoo lather, and I ended up buying the recommended shampoo from Amazon. Two weeks later I am still astonished by my new improved hair and I no longer have to use the vast array of serums and conditioning products which I used to. I also have also been out in drizzly rain and did not end up going frizzy! Update: A month has passed since I applied the treatment and I am still slightly astonished when I wake up each morning with soft manageable hair and not with a bird's nest of mad frizz. I am saving a fortune on conditioning products like serum because I simply don't need them anymore. One point I should make is that my hair is not completely straight, it is just very much straighter, softer and feels in better condition that it has ever been before. I wonder if the negative reviews are due to people, who perhaps have more normal hair in the first place, expecting poker straight hair.? Maybe the packaging is confusing in this respect? However if you have horrible difficult frizzy hair like I do then you are likely to be overwhelmingly grateful for this product! 16 weeks on: Unfortunately in the last couple of weeks my hair has returned to its normal state of unruly frizz! I do intend to use the product again very soon because the results were wonderful and lasted about as long as predicted. Apart from the performance of applying it in the first place and not washing my very lank hair for three day afterwards, it is a marvelous product.

I absolutely loved this Kit! I was skeptical at first about doing a keratin treatment on my own, but this kit made it super easy. The instructions were very clear, and I was able to follow each step without any issues. The results are honestly as good as what I’ve gotten at salons – if not better! My hair is usually frizzy and hard to manage, but after using this kit, it’s silky smooth, shiny, and feels so much healthier. I’m on week three, and my hair is still frizz-free and straight, even in humid weather! I leave in London and belive it is humid! 😊 I also love that the kit comes with everything you need, from the clarifying shampoo to the application tools, so there’s no need to buy anything extra. The gloves and brush made the process clean and precise. Plus, the keratin formula doesn’t have that awful smell that other treatments sometimes have. It’s gentle but still super effective. I saved so much money doing this at home instead of paying salon prices, and the results speak for themselves. If you're looking for a way to get salon-quality smooth hair without the cost, I highly recommend this product. I will definitely be purchasing again!

Very good product,, does its job just one setback is that your eyes is irritated when you dry the cream otherwise its fab

Edit: I decided to purchase this product again to straighten my hair. I had to stop part way through the process and wash the treatment out. My scalp was tingling and my chest, eyes nose and throat were on fire - much worse than before. It's late night and I had to step outside. I felt unwell. I looked again at the ad for this product and noticed that it no longer said formaldehyde free. The product website doesn't say it either. I googled the ingredients again and did not find that any of the ingredients listed were formaldehyde or formaldehyde based chemicals, however looking at the box I could see that it said 'made in Israel'. It did not say this when I purchased it before, and the box provides a uk address as if it is made in the uk. This could mean that the manufacturer has omitted it from the ingredients so that its not subject to uk safety tests. I will also add that the product does appear to have changed - it is no longer in a tub, but a tube. I strongly believe that this product contains formaldehyde and is dangerous to health. I have kept my previous review of the product below for the sake of transparency and to demonstrate; you may buy a product you've brought before believing it to be safe, only to realise that they've changed the ingredients once you've become unwell. All is not as it seems............. Previous review: This keratin treatment has made my hair softer and when straightened, it takes a little longer to revert. When my hair does start to revert, there is less frizz. The treatment: My hair is transitioning from relaxer, and I have 4c hair at the back and about 3 inches of 4c roots at the front. This is because of the way my hair has been cut. The length of my hair is to my shoulders. The tub of keratin treatment is 100ml. I decided that I would treat all of my hair at the back and only my roots at the front, originally deciding this because my ends are low porosity and straightened by relaxer. It turns out that this was good to do anyway, as I found that if I had treated my hair entirely I'd have run out of keratin. The keratin treatment smells like toffee. However, as I applied it I noticed it made my eyes sting and the top of the inside of my nose burn - only slightly but enough to be uncomfortable. Even though the room I was in was well ventilated, I already decided that I would wear a face mask when blowdrying. When blowdrying the burning of my eyes and nose was worse. I ended up working through sections of my hair with my eyes closed tightly and the mask over my mouth, nose and the bottom of my eyes. This helped, as well as blowdrying my hair AWAY from my face. Blowdrying the keratin solution into 4C afro hair is very laborious. It took me about an hour to do this and still it was damp in parts. I was also concerned about the mechanical damage being caused to my hair by the blowdrying over and over. I straightened the treatment into my hair, and then washed after 4 days. My curls were still there, but the hair didn't feel as thick as it used to when it was being washed afterwards. I did notice that the texture felt quite dry & didn't seem to hold moisture as it did before when wet. I was able to blowdry my hair quicker than before, albeit slightly. Verdict: I would probably use this again but probably once or twice a year max. This is due to the mechanical damage, and dryness caused to hair. Also, although it does not contain formaldehyde (I googled each ingredient individually before using it) it definitely does contain a chemical that is harmful enough to cause burning of the eyes and nose. Which makes using this product uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. So it works- but beware.

My hair is really damaged from bleaching and pool chlorine, so damaged I can't even put a brush through it. Treatment is straight forward, a pot covered my whole hair without any to spare. Despite doing my hair in a ventilated room, I felt extremely sick and dizzy from this product and my eyes stung really bad. Doing some research as I felt really ill, keratin treatments contain formaldehyde which is a carcinogenic, it is not listed on this product as an ingredient though so I am a bit skeptical about the whole thing. I washed my hair 3 days after treating with herbal essence sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. As you can see by the pictures uploaded, my hard was blasted dry with a hair drier and looks really frizzy, I let my hair dry naturally after shampooing my hair for the 1st time to see the diffence and it doesn't look straight and glossy as I would have expected it to. I did have to style with straighteners and it looks the same as if I had straightened my hair without the treatment. However, I was actually able to brush my hair instantly without tangles... To summarise: -I like this product because the condition of my hair feels better and I can put a brush through it where before I couldn't. -I don't like this product because it made me feel really ill and sick, it irritated my eyes. It may contain a harmful chemical but it's not listed, can we trust this company?. Also didn't make my hair look much different than before.

I regrettably spent £250 on a Brazilian blow dry at a salon using the coco brand which did not work at all. Should have just bought this and saved myself the money… Applying this isn’t hard at all and the instructions are so clear and straight forward, but you do have to be patient and section your hair properly (I don’t think I did a great job of that at the back of my head) if you have thick, unmanageable hair like me, get a friend to help. Anyway I think the key thing to getting this product to work is to blow dry the product into your hair on the COLD setting (I think this is where my hairdresser fudged the process!) as heat will evaporate the product before you can straighten it into your hair. And make sure you have good quality straighteners (they have to be HOT! 250 degrees) I have GHDs. Straighten each section of hair (small sections) 5 times. And do not get your hair wet for 3 days or tie your hair up. I slept with my hair in a silk bonnet to protect it from kinks. To start with my hair was poker straight and sooo smooth (as you can see in the photo). After washing it out I was slightly disappointed to see I still had my natural curl and waves, however the frizz and sheer uncontrollable volume of my hair is gone, and it’s much more manageable. It’s a lot smoother at the front than the back but I think I didn’t section it as well at the back ,so that’s my fault. It’s so quick to style now but I do still need to straighten it, although it doesn’t look terrible if I let it air dry (it’s just my preference for it to be straight). When your applying the product it smells pleasant (like caramel) however it releases a lot of fumes so make sure your room is well ventilated and I plan to wear a mask and safety glasses next time to stop the fumes from bothering my eyes and airways, however it’s unavoidable as all Brazilian bow dry products have fumes, some a lot worse and stinkier than this. This is also formeldahyde free so far safer than other brands.

Works a treat, brought for my boyfriend who has really thick tight curls, done as instructed and worked perfectly will be buying again.
