Has anyone used these on Cat 6 solid core cable?

Hi, thank you for your inquiry. These RJ45 Connectors are specific for CAT5/CAT5e cables. So it is not suggested to use them with CAT6 cables. But we have specific RJ45 Connectors for CAT6 cables too; here is the product link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EURRDXA?ref=myi_title_dp Hope the answer helps you. UGREEN

Are these suitable for exterior use. Do they need boots?

In essence, no. Boots do not protect from moisture they just make the connector more robust and less susceptible to damage. These would be fine if they are concealed in a suitable IP rated box; that’s what I’ve done.

Are these fittings suitable for flat rj45 cable

Hi, thanks for your question. Yes, these RJ45 connectors will suitable for Cat5e and Cat5 network cables. Hope this can help you. Any other question, please feel free to contact us.

Is this suitable for solid core cable, stranded, or both?
