Great for steam deck
Works perfect with the steam deck, you have to do some messing with a file in dolphin if you want to use it for emulation, but the pc mode works with no set up

Excellent adaptor that works with Switch 2
I bought this so I could play Gamecube Classics on the Switch 2 with my original controllers. It works a treat. And a fair bit cheaper than the MNS gamecube controller. Although there are several cheaper alternatives than this, I decided to pay that extra couple of quid and get the highly rated one, and I am more than happy with it.

Affordable and works brilliantly!
Bought for a Nintendo-mad boyfriend who has recently bought himself a WiiU and Super Smash Brothers. Like many others, he prefers to play the game using the GameCube controller. Due to the official Nintendo GameCube adapter being out of stock EVERYWHERE- and any that you can find being ridiculously overpriced- I decided to give this a go and bought it as a birthday present for him. The reviews I had read looked positive, and I really wanted an adapter that would allow for co-operative play when his friends come round. I was a little dubious when it arrived, as the packaging wasn't great and the box didn't look too impressive or very "official"- but on giving it a try, it is perfect. Very easy to set up and use with the WiiU (we haven't tried it with the PC yet but are hoping to soon), and works a treat. No lagging on the gameplay and is just perfectly compatible, it works so well. Thank you very much to MayFlash for producing an adapter that isn't just affordable, but also that works brilliantly. We've played it with 4 of us on GameCube controllers and it still works just as well.

Does the job well but may take extra setup if using on PC
This is a fantastic adapter for connecting you gamecube controllers to other devices. This review will be based on my experience connecting it to my PC. It comes with two USB cables though you only need one of them plugged in for the controller to function. For most PC games it seems to work by just plugging it in though for what I wanted it for, I needed to install a certain driver in order to get it to function but it was not too bad to set up. Sometimes the switch on the back can be confusing though I rarely need to touch it. If you're looking to use this for certain emulators you will need to do some research or playing around in order to get it to work and is the only downside I have experienced with it. It comes with four ports, which is handy if you want to do any multiplayer games with it, and is a good size that does not take up much room. I personally have not noticed any input delay with it, and if there is any, it is very small and easy to get used to.

Works well with Wii U
Purchased this to allow use of Gamecube controllers on a WiiU. After flicking the switch to the WiiU mode it was recognised with no fuss. I was then able to use 3 different Gamecube controllers with the WiiU and they responded just like they do on the Gamecube. I've not tried it on PC. Great product for very reasonable money. The quality of the construction/look is good and it does not look out of place next to WiiU (admittedly a black one which helps!).

Works on Switch 2
Excellent device, on the latest firmware already and works on Switch 2 out of the box. Highly recommended.

The mayflash gc adapter isn't just the best alternative to nintendo's 1st party adapter, but in most areas: it's actually better. For about the same price as the nintendo adapter, the mayflash adapter not only gives you full wii u compatibility (and with pc software related to the wii u adapter like the wii emulator dolphin) but also pc compatibility built right into the hardware. With the literal flick of the switch on the back of the unit it allows the adapter to either be a gamecube adapter for use with the wii u or a regular usb device allowing you to use your gamecube controllers in any game that natively supports gamepad configuration. My only main gripes with the device is the generic "GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U and PC USB" printed on the top and the slightly tilted adapter ports. While the adapter has worked flawlessly over the past few weeks of me owning it and repeatably plugging and removing controllers from the ports you will still notice that slight tilt, adding to the idea of this just being a cheap clone. Testing the adapter in both wii u mode and pc mode has shown there is no noticable delay in player input (atleast no more than the official nintendo adapter). If you don't care for visual aesthetics and just want a gamecube adapter (and then some) there's no reason not to buy this. Whether or not you'll be using this for your wii u or pc the mayflash adapter is superior to both the official nintendo adapter because of this clone's availability, price and functions but also better than any gamecube usb converter you can buy for your pc (even better than the other mayflash gamecube-to-pc converters) because this adapter has virtually no input delay when compared to the others.

For me, the Mayflash W012 does work out of the box with Steam Flatpak on Ubuntu 24.04 and with SteamOS 3.7.17 on the Steam Deck in "PC" mode. You can then use the Steam Input controller settings screen to map the controls to what you want. Rumble support is supposed to be present, but I didn't test it. When set to "WiiU/NS" mode, it works on the WiiU with "Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U" and with the "Nintendont" Gamecube emulator inside the vWii. It doesn't work with the "Dance Dance Revolution"/"Dancing Stage" Hottest Party games when run on the vWii. Rumble works. Tested with a Wii Dance Pad and a GameCube Controller.

Boxing was pretty good and no issues whatsoever. Maybe a tiny bit of input lag but you can't really tell
