Brilliant for all types of marks
Brought this along with the colour restorer to get rid of a big scratch running down the passenger side of my car from driving too close to a bush. Extremely simple to use just dampen a microfibre cloth and apply the liquid and rub back and forth then buff off the excess with a clean dry cloth. Only took me less than 2 minutes to get rid of the scratch and then I just used the colour restorer and it polished up perfectly. Depending how deep your scratch is will determine how effective this will be but even a deep scratch this will improve it. I think this would also work well on swirl marks you see on darker coloured cars, it really does give it that just come out of a showroom look. Just be aware if you have a darker coloured car because it is abrasive it may look worse once you finish as there will be a patch where you have rubbed the paintwork but that is what the colour restorer is for and it makes it look brand new again.excellent quality would definitely recommend.

Car paint defects remover
With patience I found it certainly improves the appearance of swirls/very light scratches ie those which do not catch a finger nail test, indeed some marks it removed them completely. For deeper scratches it reduces the appearance. On my car it does appear to had any detrimental affect on the paint. All in all it is worth trying but take your time.

Cutting compound - professional use suggested
It did ok on a small job to do with a deep scratch. This helped reduce the appearance - I was hoping for more but maybe I was too optimistic. Careful using it if you don’t know that much about bodywork compounds - it’s quite coarse compared to auto-hobby products.

Works a treat with a bit of effort.
This product works very well, as long as youre prepared to put in some effort. If you're like me and read millions of reviews before parting with any money, I hope this review helps your decision. Recently I bought a black BMW, it's 17yrs old was scratched to buggery all over and covered in house paint splashes down the offside, but the price was right, mostly because of the less than perfect paintwork. It was my intention to just clean the car up a bit and use it as a run-around. After washing it I decided to do a bit of research to see what was around to spruce up the paint, after reading lots of reviews I settled on a bottle of G3 and it arrived quickly. Bear in mind I was going to have a go at the whole car... The best way I've found to use this product is to find a shady spot, not cold but out of direct sunlight so the panel you're tackling isn't hot, choose an area of the car, say half a wing, top half of a door, half a rear quarter panel, nothing too large, give it a clean with some soapy water and dry it off. Next, get a nice soft rag (I didn't bother with the applicators that they recommend, sorry, too tight!), give the bottle a good shake up, squeeze out some G3 on your rag, spray it with water, I used an old spray shower cleaner bottle that I rinsed out thoroughly, and get rubbing, straight lines, back and forth, then up and down, and back and forth again, NO CIRCLES, don't be afraid to use more water or G3, allow it to haze up a bit and then get another rag and clean it off. I could see a difference at this stage. Next I got out some colour magic that matches the car, applied that as normal, on a rag, let it dry, wipe it off and finally I gave the area I'd been working on a good polish with some of my old mans wax polish. The result has amazed me, scratches, swirls, dull areas, all the masonry paint splashes - completely gone! The paint looks deep enough to dive into and it is gleaming. It's not quite as easy as it looks in the advertising/tutorial videos, but having just finished the entire car, it looks really fantastic, almost unrecognisable. It's been a fair amount of effort and a good few hours but not everyone will have the whole car to do and there's still some product left, so it goes a long way, all done by hand and the results are genuinely outstanding.

Well its reduced the area in question.
Well its worked in reducing the scratched area on my bonnet. This was caused by dry bird poop which I had dampened but not enough and when using a kitchen towel wetter scratched the paint badly. So overall I'm happy but not sure what I was expecting exactly in terms of finished result. I would say if you haven't got a buff pad/tool look for a deal where you get the product and pad/s for the job. Also if you've only got a small area like i have you may want to find/see if there is a smaller bottle like 250/300ml. Plan to do a little more work on the area but just not too sure if I go too far could I damage the paint even more; its one of those jobs that needs experience.

Magic in a bottle!!
So I purchased this following a recommendation from a kitchen fitter. Just a few short months after our kitchen was installed; I stupidly (don't know why I did that) used pink stuff to remove a rubber ball mark. It left patches of scratches that I could see when the light bounced off the cashmere gloss door. The kitchen fitter was installing a kitchen for our neighbor. I had a chat with him regarding options of either replacing the door if I couldn't find a solution to repair the damage. His advice was use a damp cloth and to gently pass the cloth back and forwards over the damaged area. I then buffed it up and hey presto!! Scratchs are almost gone. I am so impressed. I was almost at the point of replacing the door which would have been very costly.
