Smooth action, bright, rich sound
The 11-52 80/20 Bronze Nanoweb Custom Light Elixirs are perfect for our Blueridge BR 63 guitar, giving it a light sweet bright warm tone as the perfect complement for a female singer. They seem to need replacing at about six month intervals, not bad when playing time is shared between this and the bigger louder and less refined Hudson HD1000. Weโve used the Elixir Extra-Light 10-47 92/8 Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb in the past, and the d'Addario EXP , but now feel these Elixir 11-52 custom Lights have a slightly warmer tone while still keeping the brightness, and they last a bit longer too before shedding or tarnishing and sounding dull.

I donโt play better but I sound better!
Iโve been trying to improve my guitar playing for a while. No matter how hard I tried I could never get the guitar to sound quite right. I decided to try these strings, a bit more expensive and lighter than the one I tended to buy. In short, a great decision and an immediate improvement to how the guitar sounds. I is great! Why only 4 stars for longevity? Well, I donโt know yet. I tend to be a bit heavy handed with the plectrum and it hasnโt been unknown for me to break strings. Not broken one yet but a bit premature for 5 stars at this stage. Would I buy these again? Rootinโ tootinโ sure I would!

Good sound and feel. Expensive but probably worth it.
Used on my parlour guitar and they sound good. Feel is great due to the coating. Not as squeak free as other coated strings I've used, but better than conventional PB strings. Expensive but probably worth it as they will last longer than standard strings before going dull.

Clear as a bell
Elixir strings are familiar to me, I've used them on my dread nought for years, but I replaced D'Addarios on my Ovation as a trial with some trepidation. No need to worry, light and responsive with great tone and sustain, these Polyweb (previously used Nanoweb) are a joy to play. Elixir do seem to outlast other strings and retain that new string punch for longer so I am seriously considering making the change permanent on the Ovation despite my love of D'Addarios (which are truly great strings). It's early days yet, but if these lightweights perform as well as the medium on the dreadnought, I believe that I'll stay with them. If you are hovering whilst considering Elixir, I suggest that you seize the opportunity and give these a go. HOWEVER-fair enough, they started well but fairly rapidly showed signs of wear, the polyweb coating began to flake off the A and D strings in particular. Elixir produce good, reliable strings normally but these did not impress. I've replaced them with Nanoweb which are as good as I expected. If you're contemplating buying these I'd suggest that you buy the Nanoweb equivalent.

Been playing these for a few months now and they're holding up well. The phosphor bronze gives a warm, balanced tone that suits a range of styles. The coating is the main reason I keep coming back to Elixir as it keeps them sounding fresh well past when uncoated strings would start to go dull. Tuning stability is solid too. Good all-round string for acoustic players who want longevity without sacrificing too much tone.

Title really says all! The NANOWEB coating works wonders for not obliterating my poor fingertips while playing and keeps my guitar's hearty, deep tone singing out. I would 100% recommend these strings for beginners, intermediate, or even advanced players. I find personally that they aren't so soft that your calluses will slowly disappear, but rather just maintains your fingers as is, while you continue to play. Sliding is super easy with these strings, once again due to the coating that Elixir puts on these things, and bends work just as well. As for longevity, one set of these strings lasted me exactly 1 year of usage (Got them on christmas day 2022, one string snapped christmas day 2023) For a 3 pack, I simply just grabbed the box, and restrung a new set. I would consider that a worthy investment, and was not disappointed by their durability whatsoever. All in all, super great strings, could not recommend more!
