Should this be given before or after food

It is some time since I ordered this but if I remember correctly it goes onto the food, my dog would not normally eat anything with tablets or medicines in but he did eat this without a problem. You could always use it on a treat or pet permitting directly into the mouth. Hope this works for your pet.
