Amazing colored pencils at a great price!
I absolutely love these colored pencils! I am kind of an art supply snob, so I was worried these colored pencils wouldn't meet my expectations, as I usually get Prismacolors. However, they have exceeded my expectations! They are comparable to Prismacolors in my opinion! They are easy to sharpen, and the cores are quite a bit sturdier than Prismacolors, so the tips don't annoyingly snap every time I sharpen them or press a little too hard while coloring, like Prismacolors always do. They are MUCH cheaper, and you get so many more colors for the price. So, such great value for the price. I love the wide variety of colors, and the color on the pencils is pretty true to the core color, but I did do a little color test on a scrap piece of paper each time to make sure. The colors are pretty vibrant, even when shading lightly, and you can press pretty hard to make the colors deeper if you want. They are smear resistand and feel nice on the page while coloring. I was even able to erase them a bit in a few places to even out a few places where I was a bit too heavy-handed while coloring. I am just using these for adult coloring books, and they are definitely good enough for that, and for kids of course, and I think they would be great for more advanced/intermediate artists, too. The only slight downside is that the box they come in is pretty flimsy cardboard, and the plastic pans are also kind of wobbly, but that is to be expected at such a low price point. Overall, I absolutely LOVE!

Great pencils, Great Price
These make good adult pencils at a budget price. Not for professionals. They have vibrant color, are easy to sharpen, blend, and burnish, and have a nice, waxy laydown texture. I really enjoy using them. I decided to upgrade to the 120 set and they were totally different - sent them back.

Great quality pencils
These Kalour colored pencils (I have the 72 pack) have been a game-changer for my 11-year-old’s drawing and coloring time! She’s super into creating detailed fantasy characters, coloring intricate book pages, and sketching and these pencils make everything look so much better than the basic ones we used before. The colors are incredibly vibrant and rich right from the first stroke — bright reds, deep blues, and smooth skin tones that actually pop on the page without having to press super hard. She loves how they layer so easily; she can build up shadows and highlights gradually, and the blending is really smooth (almost creamy!) for mixing colors like turning a basic green into a realistic leafy one. What I appreciate most as a parent is that the cores are strong enough not to snap every five minutes (unlike some cheaper brands), but still soft enough for an 11-year-old to control without too much frustration. They’ve held up great through months of almost daily use.

Great variety, excited to keep using these!
Really nice color pencils. I am not an artist, just a mom who bought these to de-stress and color every now and then. I like the variety of colors and the price. It's nice to be able to sit with my kids and all of us work on our various coloring books. I think they would make great gifts as well.

Great Affordable pencil
I purchased these pencils in order to try them before I got a set for my friend as a present. I found the Kalour pencils an excellent product. They are soft core pencils which some don’t care for, however, I draw more as a hobby and found that the pencils blended well in my drawings and worked well together for what I wanted to do. I did have some issues with sharpening the pencils when I used an electric sharpener. For these pencils it is probably best to sharpen them with a manual pencil sharpener which is no issue for me. These pencils were great for my projects and the set was lightweight and easy to carry. The box did tear though so I ended up spilling them all over the floor. I would recommend getting a case to carry them in if you intend to travel with them. I am also glad that when I want to draw while traveling I do not have to worry about losing these pencils. When I drew a sunset landscape with them the colors blended and layered quite well. For the price of these pencils I was honestly expecting lower quality than what I received. The pencils are about what you would expect for cheap, beginner pencils. For what I wanted to create I was pleased. Looking forward to giving my friend a set of these pencils, with any luck I should be able to get her to draw a bit more often.

Affordable Dupe
I hardly ever leave reviews, but because it took me a few purchases to finally find an affordable comparison (I wouldn’t say a 100% dupe) for Prisma Color pencils, I thought I would leave this here for anyone depending on reviews to make their decision. Like I said I wouldn’t say they are a perfect dupe but I will say, for the price and quantity you receive ,these are pretty great. Blendable, core IS soft as described, works well over alcohol and water based markers, huge color selection…. They’re at least worth a try!

Vibrant, Relaxing, and Great for Coloring Therapy
Coloring has become one of my favorite ways to relax — especially when I need to slow down and think. It’s like a mini meditation session, and this KALOUR 72-count colored pencil set has made that experience even better. The pencils are smooth, soft-cored, and highly pigmented, which means you don’t have to press hard to get beautiful, vivid color. They glide across the page easily and blend nicely, which is great for adult coloring books or even basic sketching. What I especially appreciate is that each pencil is labeled with its number and color name — it makes organizing and picking the right shade really easy. Plus, the wide variety of 72 colors means I can always find just the tone I’m looking for to bring the pages to life. The quality of the wood is also nice — they sharpen well and don’t crumble or splinter. They feel sturdy but soft enough to allow smooth layering and shading. If you're someone who colors to relax or is just getting into it, I highly recommend this set. It's beginner-friendly but doesn’t compromise on pigment or feel. A great gift for yourself or any coloring enthusiast!

Nice pencils at an affordable price for Art Therapy.
Delivered this box of 72 pencils to my elderly grandmother who is now in LTC. She LOVES all the brilliant color choices, and the smooth application. She doesn't have to press down so hard to color, making it much easier for those with arthritis. The only problem is the cardboard box. It's not easy for an elderly person to remove the pencils, it's too flimsy, She needs a firm box that can open up and display all the selections. Today I ordered (from Amazon) a fold out canvas carrier that should work, securing all the pencils and preventing damage by needlessly dropping them. I will transfer these pencils for her to start Art Therapy as soon as they arrive.
