Castrol POWER1 Racing 2T Motorcycle Oil 1L

Brilliant, allowed me to rag my rm85 mercilessly and crash into a tree at quite a high speed. Great oil.

Castrol is a trusted name and i have used it for several decased. I would have no hesitation in using again.

Castrol supplies a number of 2 stroke oils including Castrol 154F7C Power 1 in a similar bottle, but this is the best one in my opinion for road use. It is a fully synthetic oil suitable for both separate and mixed lubrication and supporting API TC, JASO FD, and ISO EGD specifications. I use it on my classic Suzuki GT250 X7 via its auto lube system and it seems to keep the engine running sweetly while reducing the amount of smoke to next to nothing once warmed up, which does not take long with a 2 stroke. While it may not smell quite as nice as the iconic Castrol R, it also does not leave the residue of that oil as well and burns nice and clean both when riding hard or taking it easy.

Not sure how to review a two-stroke oil but I was recommended this stuff as an alternative to the oils sold by chainsaw makers and specialists. Apparently most oils are much the same, the additive package in this one having a higher cleaning rating of FD versus FC. No, I don't know what that really means but this oil does burn very cleanly.

I have an odd use for this. I own an RX8 which has a rotary engine. They need to be kept nice and oily so having taken advice from the uk forum on Mazda RX8s I put a good squirt of this in the tank every time I fill up. The result being it is up to 70K miles and still going without any sign of compression loss (that awful warm start problem). Consequently I'm a happy RX8 owner (except for the road tax and fuel cost)

aggiorno e mantengo la vecchia del 2016. aggiungo al testo vecchio datato 2016 il fatto che ho comprato altre 4 confezioni e tutto ok Ho appena ricevuto il prodotto e questa volta è quello giusto , due giorni fa è arrivato a casa quello per motori 4 tempi . Il corriere è stato puntuale ma in ritardo ( arriva sempre tra le 08:00 e le 9:15 ) oggi ha fatto un leggero ritardo 09:30 :-) . La data di consegna è stata rispettata quindi tutto ok niente da dire .Voglio precisare una cosa. ho fatto il controllo del soffiatore e la candela a detta del tecnico era perfetta,quindi quest'olio fa il suo dovere.alzerò la valutazione da 3 della vecchia a 5 stelle. so avevo detto non è tanto migliore di un castrol economico ma la candela perfetta non possi ignorarla anzi. inoltre un bravi al team Amazon mi sono venuti incontro per il reso,sono stati stupendi. VECCHIA Ho acquistato questo olio perché il precedente sempre castrol 2 tempi sintetico ma quello in contenitore bianco con etichetta verde ( quello in vendita alla Brico per intenderci , che sopra c'è disegnato un tosaerba e che dovrebbe essere olio per motosega & co ) non ha fatto il suo lavoro correttamente . Ho usato quel castrol " verde " per quasi 2 anni sia nella motosega che nella motozappa e ultimamente nel soffiatore . Diciamo che non mi ha dato problemi ma nel soffiatore mi ha creato tanti problemi . Elevato fumo all'accensione e dopo un'ora di utilizzo faticavo a respirare tanta era la puzza emanata da quel olio dalle basse qualità . Messa la candela nuova , fatto ordine e arrivato l'olio, ho fatto la miscela e messo in funzione il soffiatore . Per i primi 3 minuti ( accensione a freddo con pochissima benzina persistente dato si era spento mentre l'usavo ) ha fatto il solito odore strano che poi diventa puzza passata il tre quarti d'ora , dopo ha iniziato ad andare in circolo il nuovo olio , e devo ammettere la differenza si vede . Dallo scarico non esce niente e l'odore è pressoché inesistente . Il giorno dopo l' ho provato sul campo . Dopo circa un'ora di utilizzo l'odore era effettivamente minore rispetto al vecchio castrol " verde " , anche il fumo emesso era tutt'altra cosa , ma , ho l'impressione che abbia perso in potenza . Rispetto all'altro e di un colore più tenue questo olio , sembra rosa mentre il vecchio " verde " sembrava rosso . Quindi oggettivamente si tratta di olio trattato in modo diverso e oggettivamente non fa fumo , ma la puzza seppur minore e più respirabile purtroppo resta . Credo che dovrò provare un altra marca . So che arrivati alla serie 700/710 si ha il massimo , ma,forse non è l'olio giusto per me . Il mio soffiatore è un Echo pb-770 in ottimo stato che ha filtro nuovo , candela, tagliando da una settimana fatto e ha due anni quindi non è il mio soffiatore. Concludo . Se avete problemi di fumo e puzza e volete rimanere con castrol ma passare dal " verde " al " giallo " potete provare questo è avrete migliorie ma in prestazioni credo sia un po' sotto al vecchio " verde " , e come se avesse meno potenza .
