Cantu Shea Butter Curl Activator Cream, 355 ml (Packaging May Vary)

I’ve been really pleased with this curling cream. A little goes a long way, and it helps define my curls without making them feel crunchy or stiff. It leaves my hair feeling soft, moisturised, and reduces frizz throughout the day. The cream has a pleasant coconut scent that isn’t overpowering, and it’s easy to work through damp hair. I find it gives my curls better shape and helps them last longer between washes. The tub also lasts a long time because you don’t need to use much each time, so it offers good value for money. Overall, it’s become a staple in my hair care routine, and I’d happily buy it again.

I have type 2B hair and a lot of it! This makes it very thick looking and very prone to being frizzy easily. I'm rather sceptical when it comes to products that 'do it all' and have spent £££ over the years on them. But, I can honestly say, this product is FANTASTIC. After reading other's reviews, I followed their tips - I applied it when my hair was almost dry but still with some dampness; I then used an amount equivalent size of a 10pence piece, which was the perfect amount for my hair. I can see it being quite heavy or sticky in your hair if you use too much, so start with a small amount - you can always add more! Leaves curls defined, soft and frizz free (admittedly, my hair needs a cut, hence the bit of frizz) It has No Coconut smell, which so many of these products have, but instead a subtle smell of Shea - lovely. This bottle is going to last me ages! - Great value for money and I am now more inclined to purchase other products within Cantu range.

Great product, gives lovely, soft curls. I'm not a fan of the fragrance, it's a little overpoweringly fruity for me, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Works well on 2b waves. I have normal thickness hair that is collarbone length. I let my hair air dry, only use my fingers, no brushes or combs, no heat etc. I only finger comb my hair to untangle it and slightly dampen it before fingercombing a small quantity of the product through my hair and smoothing the remainder over my hair to prevent frizz. In the right quantity it's not heavy, smells nice and combs easily through my hair. I don't get frizz or flyaways and it boosts the natural shine of my hair. I wear my hair down all the time and although I use this product daily and only wash my hair once a week, I don't experience any buildup. I just use a regular cantu shampoo wash out conditioner. I have a dry scalp and untreated, uncoloured hair so results might be different for people with oily hair or processed, damaged hair. I have dry skin and never experienced any facial breakouts from my hair products too. This cream is the only thing I use on my 2b hair and it works well for my low fuss hair routine. My waves always remain shiny, soft and frizz free even though I finger comb them with this product twice a day.

The Cantu Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream is a nice product in theory, but it’s unfortunately too heavy for my fine 2A/2B curls. Instead of defining them, it tends to weigh my hair down, leaving my waves looking a bit flat. I can see how this would probably work much better on tighter curl patterns or on drier, thicker hair that needs more moisture and hold. The formula itself feels rich and nourishing — just not the right match for my hair type. Overall, it’s not a bad product, but it’s not suitable for finer, looser curls like mine.

Love this product

First product I’ve tried since getting a perm. Moisturises well and helps redefine the curls when applied on wet/damp hair (haven’t used on dry). Feels better the next day than it previously did without using. Good starting point product wise for the price too if you’re new to this hair type. Update: made my hair quite dry and weighed down after a bit of use. Learned it’s better for natural hair after further research. Still did the job for a few weeks. Have since moved to curl gel and my hair is so much better for it

first time purchasing a curl activator and it exceeds my expectation because it is the cheapest in Amazon.Curls last for 2-3 days.OMG

This product ticks all the boxes for my hair management. It reduces frizz, it creates shape, it is easy to use, it can be watered down a little to use as a general "setting" agent, and it smells nice. It's curly girl friendly and doesn't make my hair crunchy unless I want it to. Suits my easygoing lifestyle well.

Utilizzavo i prodotti della Cantu tantissimi anni fa, poi sono passata ad altre marche più famose per trattare i miei ricci e non sono mai stata pienamente soddisfatta. Ora sono ritornata a Cantu e non cambierò mai più! Il balsamo è eccezionale, i prodotti per lo styling anche. Questi in particolare, l'ho usato sui capelli bagnati, semplicemente dopo averli pettinati e arricciati un po' con le dita. Ho abbondato con la crema (cosa che non faccio mai perché odio l'effetto gel secco sui ricci) e i boccoli sono venuti bene definiti e morbidi!!! Non ho riscontrato nessun problema che ho letto in alcune recensioni. Il prodotto e la confezione vanno bene. L'idratazione è eccezionale, considerando che io ho dei capelli molto crespi e un po' secchi, con questo prodotto non mi sembrano i miei capelli! L'effetto non dura per giorni perché è una crema, ma si può rinfrescare l'acconciatura e ripetere il procedimento. Ottimo anche il prezzo contenuto se consideriamo altri prodotti simili di altre marche!

Très bonne crème activatrice de boucles, idéale pour définir les cheveux ondulés, bouclés ou frisés sans effet carton. La texture est riche mais facile à répartir, et une petite quantité suffit généralement pour obtenir de beaux résultats. Les boucles sont mieux définies, plus souples et paraissent naturellement hydratées. Le beurre de karité apporte une vraie sensation de nutrition, ce qui aide à limiter les frisottis et à garder les cheveux doux tout au long de la journée. J’apprécie particulièrement le fait que les cheveux restent flexibles et agréables au toucher, sans effet gras lorsqu’on dose correctement le produit. L’odeur est également très agréable et reste présente après l’application. Le format est généreux et offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix, car le pot dure longtemps même avec une utilisation régulière.

I put literally small amount all over my hair and it's super hydrating and defining for curls . Just two tricks to get best results . Clean your scalp well in the shower & after applying cream and coiling or brushing , put microfiber towel for 30 minutes before diffuser (or leave it longer if you are not going to use diffuser ) .
