Post heatwave grass is thriving again
Seed has been great, hardy and thriving post heatwave. Very impressed with how the grass has withstood the recent hot weather and returned as good as before. Our garden is a mix of sunny and shaded which the multi purpose seed had no issues with. Lovely and green very happy.

Quick to grow! (In April/May)
Now this is the way to a fantastic lawn. Very economical compared to turfing. Within 4 weeks having sown at the end of April the grass has really kicked on and is growing very well (see photo). Although Titchmarsh says you shouldn't need to water grass seed in the UK there has been little rain over the past month so my lawn has been watered nightly. Lush green colour and very consistent. Prepared with a rotorvator and added sharp sand and mushroom compost before rotorvating again, adding much needed organic matter to what is normally damp soil. My garden is partially shaded due to neighbouring houses, but this grass seed appears to be happy in partially shaded areas, albeit those ares are taking a little longer to establish than those in good day long sunlight. I think the mushroom compost has done the trick and is very cheap as a fertiliser. There is plenty of seed left over to add with top dressing in the autumn and next spring, my lawn is about 80sq m and I have overseeded my front lawn of a further 30sq m. Using only about half the bag (I probably used too much anyway) All in all I would recommend this seed for a new lawn. Edit: the second photo I have added shows the lawn after 6 weeks growth. Knitting in nicely and steadily the patches are filling in. I cannot understand those reviewers who have not seen any growth, but I assume soil conditions have much to do with how results pan out and the extra time I took to condition and prepare the soil has paid off. Good but not great quality.
This was good but not great. It grew reasonably well but there were a few patches that had to be redone. It wasnโt bad for the price paid and we did have a huge area to cover.

Worked well for a complete renovation of my lawn
My lawn was completely barren. After adding new top soil, this seed went from nothing to lush grass in 6 weeks (May to June). Second picture shows after the first mow.

as needed
Too early yet , 3 days watering regularly nothing has sprouted yet and as spring is advancing the existing patchy lawn is starting to look healthier anyway so if the seeds do start to grow and fill the patched up for summer I'll post an update on this review.

Fast growing, good quality
I lightly scratched the damaged grass bed that needed seeding with a fork, laid the seed and watered. Left for 5 days till the grass seed sprouted and then put a fine layer of top soil over all the areas I had put the grass seed, then watered with the hose. Following another 4 days (9 days in total) all the damaged areas from the summer where the grass was burnt away, I now have lovely full grassed areas again. The colour is slightly lighter than the other grass in the bed at the moment, but as it ages it will mature in colour and become similar or the same as the rest. Very pleased to have an almost full lawn again after only 9 days, and obviously this will all send out roots and shoots in the spring and continue to spread the grass. I'll be buying another bag if this now I know it's a decent grass seed and takes very fast.
