Dermalex Rosacea

I suffer from a skin sensitivity to UV light called Polymorphic Light Eruption, and have used this product for 10 years since being recommend it by a pharmacist. Plme doesn't generally have many products dedicated to it, as it's a rare sensitivity that causes rashes and irritation when the warmer weather comes out on the areas that often see the sun - like hands, cheeks and arms. I use this product to assist in the "hardening" process with PLME - allowing your skin to flare up in order to climatise to the higher UV light exposure in summer months - and I couldn't do it without dermalex. I often flare up with mild to medium rashes on my cheeks and arms in late spring early summer normally from spending time in the garden, and then use this cream to sooth the itching and reduce the rash. During the first flare up, I cover the rash in dermalex to sooth it and then wear light natural clothes as to not further expose the rash to the sun whilst it heals, and once gone (normally in a matter of days owing to dermalex) I am able to be in the sun again rash free for the whole summer. Dermalex has a wonderful fresh, rose like smell, and a novelty pale green scent that acts as a barrier and reduces redness - perfect for hiding the unsightly rashes. I can't confirm it's efficacy as a rosacea cream, though it does reduce the redness of my rash, but I couldn't live without it as a PLME sufferer. It's expensive for the small amount, but I've not found a product better, and I tend to only need 1 bottle per annum, so it's worth it in my opinion!

After turning 36 my skin became sensitive and itchy in areas, especially after a shower. I've never had ANY problems with my skin and it seems this has happened to me with age :-( I took my skin for granted until March. So I've been hunting high and low, googling my symptoms (as you do) and have decided (diagnosed :-)) that I have rosacea. This is the first product I've brought which is specifically for rosacea so didn't know what to expect. This cream does work wonders and after the first application (after my shower and no specific facial routine) I had no itchiness or redness. I couldn't believe it. I've been using this for a week or so and it continues to work. The only answer (apart from this being a wonder cream) is that it's thanks to the green tinge the cream has. Is this what has stopped my redness? Even so, the itching has gone also. Excellent. Have recommended to my mum and a friend already. As soon as I used it for the first time in fact. The only reason I gave it four stars is being I'm suspicious of the green colour being what has made the redness appear to vanish but this could just be down to me over analysing things :-)

I have bought this product because of the reviews I have read on Amazon. I have spots/acne like rash on my nose which have not gone away in about 5 months until the purchase of this product. I have tried all other acne treatment options and even some home remedy. I have not been officially diagnosed with Rosacea but all my symptoms point out to it. Running out of options and with my confidence greatly affected by my swollen red nose, I tried this treatment. 2nd day of application did show signs of the redness and swelling being contained in one area and seemed to stop the development of further spots. 2 weeks of using it, the redness was on and off but I must say no further appearances of new spots/rash. I would not say that it completely cured me but bringing this to my doctor and explaining that it seemed to work better than the previous medication he prescribed helped in finally officially diagnosing my condition as Rosacea. I have been prescribed the appropriate cream for it and it seemed to work better. Would I recommend this product? To people who could not find time to go to their doctor for proper diagnosis but suspects that they might have Rosacea-this could be a temporary fix as it does help with the swelling and redness. For me it did not work 100 percent but it did make a difference so it is worth giving this product a try as I am aware that different people respond differently to treatment and medication. This might be the answer to some people's problem. No unpleasant side effects too which was brilliant.

This is what Dermalex themselves say - Results vary according to skin type. Within 30 minutes the skin is 18% more hyrdrated and redness reduced by 44 %. They also say spider veins will be reduced by 21 % in four weeks and 34% in eight weeks. They also say it could help reduce flare ups and the damage they cause. I think this is probably true and would recommend it to anyone who is newly diagnosed. So I am at the end of week one. Dermalex definitly suits my skin as a moisturiser. The redness was not reduced in minutes but has certainly reduced to the point where I catch myself in the mirror and think I look quite pale. It's no magic cure but for redness reduction alone I would certainly by it again. Update - 28/04/13 - I have now been using this product for two weeks. So far it has significantly reduced my spider veins. Further update - 11.05.13 - have been using this product for one month. Does not perform miracles but really does visibly reduce spider veins and helps a little with redness. However, went to Boots today two buy some more and notice the price has gone up to £18.98 !! A lot of money for a 30g tube. G

Don't buy it. It's not at all effective on my rosacea. Money also wasted and the service is also cheap. They not even accepted the return request.very bad product.

This product relife my burning feeling on my face; works great; the deliver service is also great.

I've been buying from Amazon for 10 years plus and I never left a review. But I wanted to leave this to encourage others to try it. I had a rosacea flare up and my skin was extremely red and uncomfortable. It felt like it was dragged on a cheese grater. I took a chance on this and my skin started to feel better after first use and after about a week my redness was 60% gone and my skin felt normal again. Up until that point, I had tried all kinds of barrier restoring creams but none of them really helped. If you are going thru something like that too please give this cream a try. I apply it at night after I wash my face and after it sinks in I apply a gentle moisturizer on top. Just give this product a try.

Die Lieferung hat 3 Wochen gedauert, aber die Creme hält b i s h er, was sie verspricht. Sie ist sehr gut verträglich, die Rosacea-Rötungen (bei mir an den Wangen, Nase und Kinn) verblassen. Trotzdem möchte ich erst mal abwarten, ob auch wie versprochen Couperose/Besenreiser verbessert werden, bevor ich Dermlex wirklich hier empfehlen kann.
