Bandai Hobby 1/144 RG Gundam Astray Red Frame Action Figure

This is my fourth gunpla model, first real grade and definitely not my last! The Red frame Astray RG is really well engineered and comes with a host of accessories. So far, the most versatile when it comes to pulling off the most elaborate poses. There is an inner skeletal frame that they've put some thought behind. I would recommend loosening this before you complete your build though. The parts that you use to move the arms and legs can seem fragile, so definitely wear them in. The level of detail is amazing and there's no shortage of decals you can use to readily make this thing look the business. I would recommend not sticking the eye stickers or the ones on top of the head. The way they're placed allows for some cool lighting that comes through on certain angles. I do have some minor gripes. The sword is amazing but the gold color they used looks cheap. I used a gold gundam marker to fix this though. Another is that after only a couple of days, the legs and arms have loosened. Having said that, this kit should be experienced. Overall, this kit is fun to put together and also take photos of. Get a stand too to pull of some insane poses! As I can't give this a 4.5, it deserves the full 5 for fun factor alone.

Very good little model for sure. There's some incredible detail on this kit for such a small build and was my first Gunpla model I've made. The build itself wasn't too complex at all as being a first time maker I found this relitively easy once I got past everything being in Japanese, the insturctions are all pictures so very clear. The inner frame is already built practically and just needs the outer pieces putting onto it. The articulation is excellent and parts don't just come falling off left right and centre, so can be posed very well. My one complaint is the gun doesn't mount to the back very well so takes some time to get right, but this is a minor complaint.

Absolutely worth the money it’s a fun build and he is stunning to look at

The Astray arrived pretty quickly which I was expecting it to take a while. when I received the box everything was good expect for the fact that the main Amazon package had been opened then taped back shut (hopefully but customs). All in all the model was a epic build for my first real grade, after nearly 8 hours of cleaning, nub removal, panel lining and sanding a few parts down I was totally happy with the Astray build. No pros nor cons as this is a good solid build for any gunpla builder.

Proper boss kit, was the first RG I put together and it was a fun time. When finished it looks great and the articulation is good

Brought for my son, fantastic models, he enjoys building them. To say they are shipped from japan the delivery and service are amazing. When it came the seller included an origami crane which was a lovely personal touch. The models take some building as the pieces come attached on runners and each piece has to be carefully cut and attached to each other. The models are great quality and value for money. The instructions are clear to follow. My son is now wanting to try the larger models. Being an engineering student these appeal to him.

This is the best real grade kit yet! This gundam astray is really cool and good looking. The Gundam Astray has really good articulation and cool weapons. Like I said the weapons are really cool but the one most of you are going to use is the Gerbera straight. This katana has great detail but it is fragile, and if you bend it too much it will snap. But if you take care of it it will be fine and will be a great prop for this Gundam. this is one of the few Gundam kits that actually feels like an action figure. When completed this kit is solid and you can really play with. This kit took me about 3 hours and I am a beginner so I would say that even if you are starting now this kit will be fine for you. The one thing that was really cool to me is that the posable hands is actually strong enough to hold all the weapons unlike most real grade kits. I use these hands because they hold the weapons well enough and because of how the wrist work they will not fall out as easy as the set posed hands. This kit is really amazing and if you want to get into the real grade line this is the best one so far. For less than 30 dollars this kit is one of the best ones if not the greatest one you can buy. I do recommend that if you do buy this kit, do not put any stickers on the head cameras or the eyes because if you do not the eyes will really pop out and you will get the factor that this is the "real thing."

Der RG Astray Red ist mein absoluter lieblings Gundam. Keine Probleme beim aufbauen und sieht super aus. Habe schon einiges an Erfahrung jedoch ist dieser auch gut für Einsteiger geeignet. Die Anleitung lässt keine Fragen offen. Artikulation des Gundams ist spitze und das Schwert ist ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. Für den Preis von 35€ klare Kaufempfehlung.
