VR is still in it's infancy. VR is where smartphones were 15 years ago. However, as with smartphones, a colossal paradigm shift is coming. Meta laying off staff is to financially justify the VR move to investors/shareholders who were upset due to their own lack of vision. Whatever you think of Zuck, his passion for VR will be a similar trigger as Jobs was to smartphones or Ford to the automobile. They weren't fistt but they were major catalysts in pushing the tool to the mainstream. Meta isn't going under - they're colossal - & they're too invested to bail. & remember, Facebook & Instagram took years to take off. The Metaverse & alike have been here 2 seconds in comparison.
