Dont buy this. The only positive I could possibly give it, that it is a metal bucket. The motion censor doesn't work. The feeder only feeds when you push the test button. And then it quits working. I used this pos in the field, trust me it is garbage. Unless you want a metal "bucket" this is a waste of your money. I would return it but I dont have the time for the hassle. Seriously, this is just a metal bucket that is pointless. Hope that helps. You are better off dumping corn by hand

I've had an American Hunter 225lb tripod feeder for 9 yrs and it's still working perfectly so I know this is a reliable brand. I purchased this hanging feeder based on that over other brands. No assembly instructions came with mine, needed to use my common scene. Center feeder, mark and drill four holes, machine screws go down through bucket and screw right into feeder. Get the varmint guard, plugs right in and there is a cut out for it to attach with two included screws. Did come with instructions to set time and feed time, super easy. Mine came with the xd pro all digital timer/feeder, not analog. All you need is 6 volt spring top battery, no AA required. Mine didn't come with the battery latch/bracket so just cut a small piece of wood to hold it in. Metal Bucket is a must, squirrels will chew through a plastic bucket no matter how heavy duty it is, they have all day, everyday, to work at it.

I was unimpressed when I unpacked this...cheap...however, it does the job. I actually like this one better than another one I got last year. You do need a battery. Other than that...and figuring out how to assemble...I do recommend.

Have bought two of these feeders one works well one the test switch doesn’t work. The battery requirement in the description is wrong. It does not take a spring top battery so I had to return the batteries I had ordered for this feeder.

Bought this to deliver a consistent quantity of treats on a fixed schedule. The motor is battery fed as is the very simple analog clock. Simple is best in dusty and dirty conditions like a chicken coop. Has relieved me of the daily task of throwing worms! Especially helpful when travelling. Worth every penny!

Assembly instructions do not exist, and the bucket has a hole for corn or pellets to feed through but no mounting holes for the feeder mechanism. You'll, need a 6v spring top battery for the mechanism, and a AA battery for the timer. Timer is analog and only sets to the nearest hour (no minute setting). The pins that trigger the timer do not fit very snugly. We'll see if they stay in place.
