Performs as described ... period
I only use this for repairs around the home, so don't expect my opinion to be valid for professional use. Everything works as expected. Very easy to use and has all the pieces I will need for a long time to come. If you have used side cutters before, you will know that the supplied ones will not cut flush. This may or may not be a problem for you. I use flush cutters, otherwise there is around 1/16" wires sticking out with the side cutter supplied. This beats using my soldering iron hands down and preserves the iron's tips.

Outstanding for the price.
Someone broke a piece of the rear-right fender off of our UTV at work ( A Kubota RTV500 ). I saved the piece, and bought this tool to see if I could fix it. One tiny triangular chunk was lost for good, but, I did manage to try this tool for the first time. I had never used a tool like this before, and was unsure of it. All I could think was, "This is going to be one of those, "NAILED IT!" before and after shots, I know it" Because I didn't believe the tool would work so well for being so inexpensive. Again, I have NEVER done this kind of repair before with a tool like this at all. It was so simple and easy to use... I was, very impressed. For a first time ever touching this type of tool, I think it came out really well. I have included the photos I took while doing the work, and it only took me about 25-30 minutes, literally did this on my lunch break at work... I recommend watching a youtube video on this tools operation, to be sure it is something you think you can do. Also, here is a tip, press the "staple" against the plastic first and pull the trigger, don't just heat it up in the air n stick it in there. The tool heats up fast, but not too fast to use properly. This wattage, (150W) is PERFECT. Any less and it would have been super slow and annoying to use, any MORE and it would be TOO fast to use. Once you get the ends snipped off (I used flush cutters because the wire cutters it comes with leave WAY too much of the staple sticking out) then I hit the ends with a grinding stone on a Dremel tool and it was fine, I didn't have sand paper to make it look pretty but despite this, it came out rather well for a first time ever use. If you have an ATV, or any vehicle that has a broken bumper, rather than frankenstein-ing it with pop rivets a sheet of metal, or epoxy, or plastic adhesives, TRY THIS. This tool sets hot wire into the material, LOCKING it in place, and once you smooth it over with the flat spatula end, (Which you can bend to a usable curve shape or any shape you need it comes with TWO of them) you will be able to make the repair, solid, and look fairly okay for what it is. I am CERTAIN with a couple uses, you will become REALLY good at it and it will look better than my poopie job depicted in the photos. I am not saying I want more broken things to fix, but really this was FUN to use, like a little craft project that took only 20 minutes. So the next time something plastic DOES break, this is going to be my go to tool of choice. 100%

Easy to use and works good.
I bought this to try and fix my bagger tube where it split at the seam. As you can see by the picture it seems to work. It's easy to use. Place a staple in the heat gun. Heat it up press it to the plastic you want it to hold together. Make sure you add enough staples to hold it good. Cut the ends off and then take the heat tip that comes with it and melt plastic over the staples so they don't show. It also comes with some plastic rods or strips. I took one and melted it to fill in the small crack. I also did some staples on the inside as well to just make sure it would hold. It seems solid. The real test will be when I try it out.

Underwhelmed
This product is misleadingly advertised as 150W. In reality, the hot staples operate at a maximum of 35W, and the hot knife peaks at 79W. The manual confirms the maximum current draw is only 0.5 amps, equating to 60W. Staples heat up within seconds, so the wattage seems appropriate for that function. However, the cutting performance leaves much to be desired. While cutting starts adequately fast, it slows considerably after just a few inches, even when the current draw remains above 75W. Strangely, the heat doesn't seem to transfer effectively to the tip, leaving it unclear where the energy is going.

Best Welder you could get. I had low expectations to be fair, and some reviews didn't seem overly confident, but I had to give it a try. I was shocked to find out it was a fenomenal tool, and a fun experience using it so effectively. I bought an used ATV for my kids and the body was severely damaged and being held together with zip ties. I managed to put it all together and came out very sturdy after all those staples binded back together. Would recommend doing Bondo to further secure the cracks and fill the gaps. Overall great tool and highly recommended to those in similar projects.
